Shigeno Shuichi's Initial D saga comes to a new turn! With graduation looming, Takumi Fujiwara feels lost as to where his life is drifting. Red Suns leader Takahashi Ryosuke asks him to help form a professional racing team, but Takumi has many old scores to settle before he can look ahead. He has a rematch with Emperor leader Sudou Kyouichi and must figure out his relationship with ex-girlfriend Natsuki.

At this time, Kogashiwa Kai and his SW20 shows up to challenge Takumi. Kai's father and Takumi's father, legendary racer Bunta Fujiwara, were rivals in the past, and both sons have now acquired their fathers' skills. Rivalries, old and new, will be settled on the roads of Mount Akina.

《Part 1》
　　飆車隊伍Red Suns的領隊高橋涼介向藤原拓海問了一個問題：要不要加入我們的縣外遠征隊伍？拓海面對涼介這樣的一個邀請，不能即時回答。因為糊裡糊塗地成為了飆車手的他，在這段飆車日子裡面仍未找到自己的方向。

　　就在這時，駕著SW20的小柏魁出現了，並向拓海提出鬥車的要求。小柏魁的父親小柏健原來曾是拓海父親藤原文太的對手。兩位年輕人分別得到自己父親的提點，在依呂波山路進行了一場了結父子兩代恩怨的比試。

《Part 2》
　　拓海和夏樹這一對曾經走在一起但以分手告終的小情人，迎接畢業前最後的一個冬天。夏樹想在畢業前與拓海重修舊好，向拓海訴說了自己的內心話，但拓海終不領情。突然有一天，夏樹打電話向拓海求救……拓海連忙驅車在雪地上奔馳，前去拯救夏樹。拓海終於發覺夏樹對自己是如何的重要，並利用這個機會向夏樹剖白了自己的情感。

　　春天時，拓海向涼介提出了比試的要求，兩人忘我地以極速飛馳……終於拓海下出一個結論：「我要成為一個職業車手……。」
