Product Information
1994年南アフリカ。投獄されていたネルソン・マンデラが大統領に就任。アパルトヘイト政策による被害を調査する「真実和解委員会」が設立された。南アフリカで生まれ育った白人のアンナ（ジュリエット・ビノシュ）は、委員会の意義を信じて、その活動を取材した。一方、アメリカから派遣された黒人の新聞記者ラングストン（サミュエル・Ｌ・ジャクソン）は委員会の活動に懐疑的だった。人種差別の傷が告解と恩赦で癒されるとは到底思えなかったからだ。ラングストンとアンナは取材初日から反目しあった。しかし取材を続ける2人は、公聴会で明かされる残虐行為の実態に衝撃を受けながらもその痛みを分かち合い、そして惹かれあう自分たちに気付かされる。やがて、憎しみに包まれていた南アフリカの人々の心に、次第に＜和解＞の光が灯っていくのを目にするのだった。
