Metronome's latest single keeps them ticking! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Metronome's latest disc, "Isshukan", succeeds in keeping the band's music going strong. Although it is only a single, the first and title-track, "Isshukan" is a catchy tune that you will probably be bumping to on your stereo all day. When I heard the heavy guitar at the beginning, I almost thought that they were turning hardcore, however, that would soon be undone by the outbreak of a catchy japanese techno-tune and Sharaku's cute vocals. The B-side track, "DNA", follows in a similar vein, only smoother and more melodic. It's also a bit longer than the first track. And this CD does not come without a bonus: The enhanced disc has the promo clip, YES, the actual music video for ISSHUKAN! Although I should note that, since it uses a japanese filename, you may have problems running it on English or European versions of Windows, but there are programs you can find via search engines (like Google) on the internet that should be able to help you get past this issue. And the way they've designed the cover of the disc itself, well, that's something you have to see for yourself. Still, I think Metronome's earlier work was much more satisfying, but this one should not go without a listen. (Extra Note: The first 1000 pressings also included a poster.)
