Secret (DVD) (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region 3
(9)Our Price: US$15.99Usually ships within 1 to 2 daysMay 2, 2009 Not bad, Director Chou!To tell you the truth, even as a diehard fan who has loved and respected Jay Chou for many years, I was skeptical with the movie's release, given his questionable acting in Initial D (I'm not going to lie).
But out of curiosity, and the purpose of filling my collection of Jay's works, I bought the DVD, played it, watched it.... LOVED IT.
It was very surprising, and the storyline had quite a twist at the end. Who would've guessed?
And Jay's acting has definitely improved and shows his confidence.
Overall, it was a simple movie, but still unique and engaging. You might even be tempted to watch it more than once or to go over some selected parts (maybe that's just me, but I didn't mind watching it again in my case).
As for the quality of the DVD itself, it is perfectly fine, and has some pretty good special features. =)
Fans who love the movie, haven't watched the movie, or aren't even fans at all, might find this a good deal.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

May 2, 2009 WOWI don't usually buy the CDs of artists outside of my top 3 list, but this was an exception.
The moment I heard the songs online, I HAD to buy it, just because they are amazing tracks. An excellent comeback!
The size of the casing was definitely surprising. I never expected it to be so BIG. It's about the size of an average magazine in a convenience store, though the quality is definitely not as that...
The photobook inside has about 14-ish glossy pages of very wonderfully taken shots of the members (they get about 2 spreads each) and 2 or 3 group shots.
The music CD also comes on a thin slab of inked cardboard with a picture of the new member (clearly advertising him to appeal to the Primmadonna's missing Won Bin -- but I think that by now, the new guy Seung Hyun has proved his worth and is a good change).
The cardboard has a 2009 calendar on the back.
As for the songs, need I mention once more, that they are simply just... Fantastic?
Definitely a must buy!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

April 23, 2009 Love it to bitsWhile some may find the price a little much, it's definitely worth every cent, when you see the tracklisting.
For 18 tracks (and another hidden track -- 9096), and a DVD with 7 music videos, offshoots, and T Concert DVD footage with the boys' hilarious commentary in the background, it's a great buy.
This version is probably the best version, since it has this tracklist.
As for the songs, I am thoroughly enjoying them. Most of them are tracks released as singles over last year after T Album's release, and compiled into The Secret Code, but there's also the new tracks, which are all wonderful and addicting.
I especially love Stand Up! and TAXI, which is an extremely beautiful ballad...
So anyway, I reccomend this version of the album strongly, for those wanting to get the most out of it (though if you have a lot of money that you can afford to spend on supporting the boys, you could go obsessive like I did during the MIROTIC releases, and buy all versions lol)
PS:
I got the Changmin card <3 (though really, I'd be happy with any of the boys xD)Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Dong Bang Shin Ki 3rd Live Tour 2008 - T - (Hong Kong Version)
Dong Bang Shin Ki 3rd Live Tour 2008 - T - (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region 3
(15)Our Price: US$21.49March 17, 2009 Worth it ^^For those of you debating between the Hong Kong version and the Japanese version, obviously, the Hong Kong version is a tad bit cheaper, and is region 3 (Japanese CDs are region 2, if I'm correct).
For those of you living in Southeast Asia, region 3 will play on your DVD players.
This concert is great! The boys really so an awesome job at singing, and by the time they reach the last few songs, I'm going crazy wondering how they can maintain so much energy after all the jumping and running around, and goodness knows how hot it must be in that stadium...
The music is also done by a live band, so you really get that "Live" feel, and it really gave the songs a different flavor.
The only things that bugged me (just a little) were that they really could have just put subs in instead of on a paper that comes in the DVD. For those of you who read Chinese, rejoice.
Another thing is, I really want to strangle the stylist they chose for the T tour, because some of the outfits were just... O.O
Made me want to cry....
But that aside, I highly reccomend buying this version of the concert DVD. It's so enjoyable to watch, and they are so passionate and energetic in their performance! The quality on the screen is super HIGH and ridiculously clear too!
The Encore disc is also a great treat, and has a very long set of offshoot clips. ^^
Definitely a must buy!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Bolero / Kiss The Baby Sky / Wasurenaide (SINGLE+DVD)(Japan Version)
Bolero / Kiss The Baby Sky / Wasurenaide (SINGLE+DVD)(Japan Version) DVD Region 2
(9)Our Price: US$23.25Usually ships within 1 to 2 daysMarch 17, 2009 Extremely impressedThe boys never fail to blow me away, and just when I think they couldn't get any better, they come back with something amazing!
Bolero --
An absolutely breathtaking song, that builds and leaves you speechless. I can't handle long songs usually, but when listening to this, I didn't even realize that it was 6 minutes long. you can't help but get hooked into the song, with the great backup music, and the boys' vocals are stunning.
I'm also very excited for the Subaru movie ^^
Kiss the Baby Sky --
A self-composed song by Micky. You can totally feel the presence of his character embedded in his work (it has that 'Micky-ish' feel lol =P), and it's an inspiring song that can't help but make you feel like smiling.
My favorite part is the rap section in the song ^^
It's also the theme song for Channel A's Zoomin Weather program. Micky should give himself a round of applause.
Wasurenaide (Don't Forget) --
A self-composed song by Jaejoong, that really left an impression. I feel very happy for Jaejoong because it was used in a commercial, and is being well-received.
It's a truly beautiful piece, and the lyrics are very meaningful. <3
Another great thing about this single, is that it comes with the instrumentals for all 3 songs so you can sing along. They all have amazing background music, and that's why when DBSK's top-notch vocals are added to the mix, it's total perfection.
As for the DVD, the quality is brilliant obviously, and really looks good on the screen. There aren't subs for the offshoot, but it's entertaining to watch the boys of course. =)
I highly recommend buying this single. All 3 songs are fantastic!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Dong Bang Shin Ki Vol. 4 - Mirotic (Korea Version C) (Clean Version)
Dong Bang Shin Ki Vol. 4 - Mirotic (Korea Version C) (Clean Version)
(16)Our Price: US$12.99List: US$18.99Save: US$6.00 (32%)March 7, 2009 Well worth the waitI am not ashamed to say that I have bought almost every single version MIROTIC possible, just to support the boys. With this, I can honestly give my opinion that the boys worked their butts off to wow us again.
As a relatively new fan only starting last year, it's hard to find an album where every single song catches my attention minusing the star appeal. But in this case, I found every track in the album to be absolutely memorable and enjoyable to listen to. The self-composed songs by the members are also impressive!
Their hard work shines through, and who can deny, that they've matured with the experience in Japan, and have come back hotter than ever?
For those of you who don't wish to buy every single released and repackaged version, unlike me, I highly reccomend that you buy the C Version, as it comes with all tracks, and a photobook attached (although the A Version has an exceptionally hot photo album too).
While Version B has a DVD of the A-Nation footage from 2008, and you can hear the boys speak in Korean backstage, it does not have subs, though the quality and resolution is just ridiculously fantastic.
I do love the Version B cover more than the A cover though.
Overall, C is definitely the best buy, but there's no harm in getting the other 2 versions, and as for Version D, I have yet to buy it, but it definitely seems worth it.
You will not regret buying the album. I guarantee!
Meanwhile, MIROTIC has been stuck in my head since its release =)Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
