A Worthy Buy Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
However, this is supposed to showcase the top artists/hits of J-Pop, and guess what? Ayumi Hamasaki and Hikaru Utada are two of the top J-Pop stars today, and they're not featured!
Moving on...At first, I liked every song on there, and then eventually... 'TRUE BLUE' and 'INVOKE' started to bore me, I didn't like 'Strawberry Sex' and 'Step To The New World' and then, horribly, 'Carpe Diem' started skipping!!!
Moving on once more...this compilation got me into Tommy February6/heavenly6, the brilliant green, Mika Nakashima, Nami Tamaki, and Hyde. Buy the CD just because it's J-Pop and it has 'Sobakasu' (which I had been DYING to get for awhile) on it!!!

Great CD! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
J-Pop CD is an amazing CD for anyone that is new to J-Pop, or looking for a refreshing presentation of some of Japan's greatest J-Pop artists! It's hot, up-beat, and I highly recommend it!

good effort for the price Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
though not the most up to date compilation (some of the songs are kinda old) this CD offers a good sampling of Japanese pop music for a low price, especially when compared to Japanese import CDs. The music on here is from all sorts of different genres, so this might not be the best CD for people with very particular tastes in music. But for anyone looking for a decent sampling at a reasonable price, or anyone just getting into j-pop, this is very worthwhile.

Not a Bad CD Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I was pretty amazed at this CD! I was expecting a crappy old compilation, but it turned out to be a pretty decent disc after all. I don't like the CD cover. I think it's really unpretty. I think if they prettied that up, that would do wonders. I also wished that they chose better songs for certain artists that they picked. Overall, I still really like it though, cause it had introduced me to some new artists that I have never given a chance to prior to listening to this.
I hope the next compilation they come out with will be even better!
