Jacky Live Performance Karaoke

I bought this DVD after reading the favarable reviews posted on the web. After watching the DVD I unfortunately was not too pleased with the performance. Jacky has a very good voice and technics to deliver a good performance. However a great artist is not just about delivering a flawless sound not about hitting the highest notes and not even about how nice it sounds. What he lacks is the ways to touch the heart of the audiences. I was not impacted by his performance emotinally. May be the correct way to say that is there is not enough soul. Granted, this is only a pop concert. But if I can't feel anything in a sad love song , there is something wrong with it. He did much better when he sang his own cantonese songs. As for the madarin songs, he was so uptight in geting the correct pronounciations that he forgot about the songs' emotional aspect. Jacky is the best when he decides to be himself. When he tries to be someone else, I am afraid that it is not too good. |

| I have the album and the dvd concert, and it is just one of the best. Despite his hair in this concert, his voice just hypnotizes you. The songs that he sang from other artist he made it his own. It's just purely wonderful. For those that are looking for good music, then this album should be in your collection. |

| Jacky, you're definitely one of best Chinese pop singers that the Chinese peaking world ever seen. I loved this DVD very much. Singing 20 hits from other Chinese pop singers. I also loved your five songs, especially the song you've sung with Ivana Wang Yuen-chi in a duet - "I'm Really Emotionally Hurt Now". I hope you may record "Snow Wolf Lake" (Mandarin version) onto VCD and/or DVD with Chinese and English subtitles, just like the H.K. movies. Thanks, Jacky. |

I've seen so many of Jacky's concert but to be honest this one is the best and greatest of all. His solid voice is still a class above the rest of HK's singer although he is no longer in his peak. I think he is bold to ran a concert that specified in singing other singers' famous song rather than his own which i think not many would dare to do. Really cant describe more. It's simply an awesome, fabulous, amazing, versatile and evergreen Jacky!! I hope he lives and sings for another 100 years!! |

The Singing God
| Well , if you ask my opinion about this dvd , I would just give it a thumbs-up . I love to listen to the song entitled " My heart is really broken " sung by Jacky together with a female singer . The lyrics of the songs is so meaningful and impressive. So good to listen to Jacky's mellow voice throughout the concert. Be sure to get one copy. |

Simply the BEST
| I love this concert DVD! It's simply the best! Jacky did one heck of a job covering those hit songs from other singers. Buy this and you'll never regret! My most favorite track is his cover of Miriam's "Small City Big Issue" in track 12 disc 1. I had goosebumps listening to it! He's awesome! |

Audiophile Quality
| This is the version for audiophile. This limited pressing from Taiwan is already out of stock elsewhere. Here is one of the rare places where I can still get a copy. I feel so fortunate. The cover version of the Mirian's Yeung song in track 12 in CD1 is simply of demo quality. And with all the good hi-fi quality, we have Jacky Cheung as the singer. This is simply a must-buy Chinese pop CD for all hi-fi lovers. |

Jacky's Concert in VCD Version
| It is definitely no doubt that Jacky's concert is a TOP album out there. That's why for me, a karaoke fanatic, have to purchase this karaoke album. Songs and performance wise I definitely give Jacky the usual 10 that he deserves. However, I give it this VCD version a stinky 1!!!!!!!! WHY?? because you have to either watch the whole thing or fast forward to where you want to watch it. I can't believe this kind of bothersome feature can be seen on a vcd. It is not a movie. Anyways, because of the fact that I have to spend extra money to buy a dvd, I'm giving this vcd a 1. |

Well another performance from a STAR so u wana be singers out there beta start learning!! no wonder jacky is sed tbe king of conton pop! after 20 long years of his music carrer he still can have such a massive effect on us. Watching this make me realise that a real good singer dont need the effect or costumes and dance move the other singers use in there concert all jacky need is his voice and that be good enough!!
