June 8, 2009 Koochan Owns - But C'mon, misono!I'm a fan of both Koochan and misono, so when I heard that they were collaborating for a song, I was screaming:
"FINALLY!!"
The first track, 'It's all Love!, is really fun and does that rock element like Kuu did for 'Ningyo-Hime' off of her Black Cherry album. I agree that it did look like they were having fun, but I guess that's expected when you're siblings. :3
Then you have 'faraway', which was used in the movie 'Subaru'. The arrangement of this song is gorgeous and the PV is - ah! Beautiful. If you've ever played Final Fantasy X or X-2 and seen the Macalania Forest, that's what it feels like to me. Gorgeous, ya know?
Now, as I've said, I am a fan of misono, but the song they chose to put on this single wasn't all that great. If anything, it's one of my least favourite songs by her. They should have put on 'Ninin Sankyaku' or something. A song that really does show off misono's talent, but no. They chose probably the worst song they could have. People who aren't familiar with misono aren't going to give her a second shot with that number. They could have put on 'misono-mi' from her 'Sei' album, even! That song's cute!

The moment I heard her singing the music for Final Fantasy X-2, I was hooked.
At first I only bought this album for 'real Emotion' and '1000 no Kotoba', but I ended up falling in love with the ENTIRE album!
This is still my favourite Koda Kumi album to date - am I being biased? Maybe. But I've never heard a Koda Kumi song I didn't like!
BOY FRIEND? and Ranhansha are still two of my favourite tracks. I've listened to this album at least one a week since I've bought it. When I first received it (and I remember this quite well), I listened to it for 2 months straight. I had it in my CD player at school, when I went bike riding, cleaning the house, etc.

April 14, 2009 I've Never Reviewed This Album~I remember when she came out with Black Cherry. As soon as news of its release came about, I knew I wanted it. I preordered it and waited impatiently for its arrival.
This is one of my favourite Kuu albums ever!! The Introduction drags you in (it's Black Cherry, for those of you who have heard Kingdom).
Get Up & Move!! is definately worth the buy! The MV, too! The song's so much fun to dance to and learning the moves is so much fun! Ningyo-hime is so rock oriented. Rock suits her!
I still can't listent to 'Yume no Uta' without bawling. That ballad is so powerful. I still wonder why 'Futari de...' wasn't on this album, though.
Tsuki to Taiyou is just a pretty song. You can't describe it. Then you have 'Puppy' and I love this song! It was the CM music for VISEE.
Koi no Tsubomi is still one of my favourite Kuu-Pop songs and WON'T BE LONG is perfect to follow it.
JUICY is still a wicked dance track. We all know Koochan can do sexy! :D Candle Light is a nice soft song that follows nicely and Cherry Girl still puts me in the mood to go to a bar. X3 I'll be There is a nice soft, relaxing tune that is very nice on the ears and Unmei still makes me cry! ;-;
With Your Smile just puts you in a good mood and Milk Tea (Koda Kumi's first self-composed song) is gorgeous! I still love TWINKLE and GO WAY!! is just fun.
Then you have the PVs which own! So hard! I love the menu setup, too. This is also the version where Kuu starred in her first drama - Cherry Girl. I love this drama! Really I do! It's so intriguing and you don't have to understand Japanese to understand it.
And I love the booklet pictures! They show how Kuu can go from sexy to elegant and it shows this woman's talent! Go Kuu for a great album in 2006! There's a reason this album sold 1.5 million copies!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

March 23, 2009 Of Course it Has Already Released SinglesIn reply to ChoSoo, in Japan, that's how the music industry works. They release singles before they release albums. Then they put the collection of singles onto the album plus new material.
It's how they promote music and it works.
Personally, I'm stoked to get my copy. I love DBSK and I have yet to hear a song I don't like. Though...I would like the limited edition.

February 11, 2009 Dirty BallroomI already posted a review about the songs and PVs, but I hadn't seen the full Dirty Ballroom at the time.
Can I just say that it OWNS?!
Though, I do agree with bENi_bOi08. To me, it looks like her video-editor found a new program and decided to have some fun. X3 It's still wicked as hell, though!!
When Mr. Blistah walked onto the stage, I started freaking out, screaming, "OH MY GOD!! Mr. Blistah made an appearence?!?! HOW COOL!!"
I love the selection of songs chosen for it and the encore was awesome! Especially with the glowing/flashing neon gloves, glasses, and Koochan's hairbow. X3 They flash from orange to green under the blacklight and it's so cool!! Not something you'd expect from Kuu!!
I'm with bENi_bOi08 again! I want to see her 'TRICK Tour 2009' so bad, now!! I hear that she'll be performing illusions throughout the concert...like a magic show!!

These boys have so much talent! They should be much more popular than they are! Pony Canyon SUCKS at promoting those under their label and groups like Lead are forced to live with it. They should switch to the Rhythm Zone label under AVEX.
Anyway. I love Umi. It's so soft and summery.

Introduction For TRICK - PREFECT way to start the album! It's suited perfectly for the album's theme and I hope there will be a full version to it one day!
Driving - I loved it the first time I heard it! It's like R&B meets techno!
show girl - She is a show girl! Kuu shows us her spunk in the song and PV! This song is addicting and fun! You can't help but love it!
Your Love - Kuu always impresses me with her ballads. This song is so gentle, but it still feels like it suits TRICK's theme.
stay with me - What can you say? This ballad is just GORGEOUS!
Joyful - I wish this had a PV! I picture Kuu riding a circus elephant as she waves to a crowd every time I hear it. It's just fun!
JUST THE WAY YOU ARE - This song, though a ballad, is more of your upbeat type of ballad. It's not a 'tear your heart' out ballad.
TABOO - Such a strong dance number! Kuu hits every note PERFECTLY and hits those dance moves HARD in the PV!
Hurry Up! - Now this song is fun! It's as fun as the title says it is and just puts you in a good mood when you hear it!
This is not a love song - (haven't heard it, yet)
Bling Bling Bling feat. AK-69 - When I first heard this song, I thought it was a joke. But the more I listened to it, the more addicted I became! "Money, money, money, just make it out to cash!"
That Ain't Cool - The only reason I like this is because Kuu's in it. At least the album PV version has WAY more Kuu than Fergie this time!
Moon Crying - Still one of her strongest ballads. Tear jerker!
Ai no Kotoba - This song had me crying the first time I listened to it. It's so pretty, though. You can't help but listen to it again and again.
Venus - Kuu's english is PERFECT in this! It's even perfect live! Her english has really improved since 2000! It's almost as good as the original!
The 'Dirty Ballroom' is WICKED. I saw videos of it not more than a week after she original performed. She hits those moves SPOT on! Just when you think this woman can't get any better, she does.

December 5, 2008 Ah--! So Cool!Ha. It took me AGES to figure out how to put it on. Lol! But you have to forgive me. I am a blonde, you see. :3
What's funny is the fact that the band looks perfect around my wrist. I have strangely small wrists, but very large hands for a female (my brother and I have the same sized hands and wrists, oddly enough). So, because of this interesting little fact, I feel SO cool when I wear it! Lol! It gives me a reason to wear short-sleeves in the winter. XD
I did have to take it to someone who deals with leather (what is the technical term, again?) to get a bit of the black trimmed down so it would go around my wrist without a hitch. Cost about 8 US dollars and now I couldn't be happier. :3 Hell, the only time it comes off my wrist is when I bathe and when I sleep. XD

December 4, 2008 Like Her 'secret' Era"stay with me" is such a beautiful single!! It's really calming and sounds perfect for winter! Kuu is always able to make me cry with her ballads. This one really made me bawl but I was happy to see that it did have a happy ending [PV reference]. It's very soft and sounds much like mix between 'Kiseki' and 'Gentle Words'.
Then you have the b-side, Winter Bell. Originally this was the song to be used, then they took it off, then they put it back. I really LOVE this song. It's perfect for Christmas! It SOUNDS like a Christmas song. You have Christmas bells echoing in the background throughout most of it and like the a-side, it is very soothing. I've listened to both songs a minimum of 60 times apiece and I already have it on preorder.
The PV, too, is very soft with a nice winter effect.

Judging by Funky Monkey Baby's review, this must be one of those you either love it or you hate it. I, for one, LOVE IT!! Koochan's back to her sexy style! Let's just say that it's called "TABOO" for a reason! It so owns!! The dance moves to the PV are wicked! There are a lot of hand movements and it's a very...well...let's just say that the PV is not modest at all! XD Of course, Koochan always did release PVs like this: wicked sadistic and incredibly dancey. (Is that a word?)
"TABOO" is so much fun and it's so upbeat! The PV is very dark. It's the PV that gives this song its name! It's a great dance number and the song itself is addicting! I have a feeling I'll have listened to this song at least 400+ times before I even get my copy of her CD.
Of course, we can't leave out her b-side "Always." This song is very beautiful. It's cutesy without being too cutesy, you know? It reminds me of a mixture between "Wonderland" and "Koi no Tsubomi." It's adorable! It kinda makes you wish that this song had a PV, too. It's very nice on the ears, if you know what I mean.

But from what I've seen and heard, this is going to be another wicked concert from Koochan! Maybe I'm being biased since I've been a fan since 2003, but I doubt that.
I wonder if this concert will hold up to the amazing "Black Cherry Tour 2007"? That was by far her best concert, so I can't help but wonder.
Either way, from what I've seen this concert will rock! Not to mention, her outfits are so adorable! Plus, there's a castle on stage - much like for "Black Cherry" how there was a ship. Regardless, "Kingdom Tour" looks like it will own...once again!

August 2, 2008 Awe. Cute, Kuu-chan!"anytime" is such an adorable song! It really is. It's sweet and very summery...though this was released in the winter. However, you forget that this song was originally supposed to be on her "FREAKY" single. :3
However, the song is cute and the PV was shot in LA, no less. This song really does show the cute and sweet side of Kuu.
Then you have "Bounce" which is a fun and energetic B-side. I like "Bounce" just as much as "anytime"!! "Bounce" makes you want to get up and dance, ya know?!

It begins with a movie clip of a "Key" getting stolen from Kuu by a pirate while a witch tries to kill her. The plot of the concert?
GET BACK THE KEY!!
Then it opens with Kuu in a pool. She gets out and starts singing "Black Cherry." Then you get a view of a ship...on the stage. The ship's massive. Takes up the entire stage!
The ship gets taken over soon after...by pirates, no less. A concert with a plot. A good plot at that!

My favourite still stands as "Zasetsu Chiten" with it's powerful chords and chorus and "Ninin Sankyaku" comes in a very close second.
The first song, "misono-mi," is very cutesy for a rock song, but it's still a great song. Yet, the more I listen to this album, the more I come to love "gizagiza LIFE." I'm not sure what it is about the song, but it's just a great rock song!

Sunnyday (Japan Version)
July 31, 2008 Lead...I swear that these boys get better and better with each single. "Sunnyday" reminds me a lot of their early work like "Funky Days," "Manatsu no Magic," etc. The song's just fun! It puts you in an instant good mood every time you listen to it - there's no doubt about that.
