Escape (Taiwan Version)
April 17, 2008 Must get for 2008A delightful new album packed with many surprises.
Check out a very different jeff on the club/dance inspired Hot Chick and also a cool hip hop/rap track with MC HotDog - Bike or wheels.
But Jeff still offers his signature love ballads here like Too Bad and Long Distance Travel.
The title track Escape is also an excellent piece.
A Must Get mandarin album for 2008.
One of the best so far!

September 15, 2007 Very enjoyable
This album turns out to be quiet a suprise as its nothing that Jeff have ever done before. All 10 tracks are highly listenable and showcase jeff's talent to deliver many different style of music. From blues to jazz, rock....its definitely a more upbeat album from jeff. Prob the most experimental to date. Highly recommended.
The album also includes a technical run down of the production...as its a Hi-Fi mastered album.

September 9, 2006 Wonderful Album!Jeff is finally back after 2 years......and the 2 years is definitely well worth the wait!
Too me, this album is much stronger in terms of music variety and experimentation than his past 2 albums.
The whole album is filled with very rich music styles and different singing techniques. Besides Jeff's signature ballads and crystal clear vocals, he has put in much effort to incorporate opera, oriental style, soft rock.....
the title track Be your Man is a simple tune that is very sweet with simple arrangement....accompanied with jeff mid range vocals....its warms your heart with a sweet smile.
track2 - telling lies is a grand masterpiece with jeff ballad style vocals and orchestral style music with opera background.
shanghai girl is especially infectious with its oriental style music but modern feel, as no chinese instruments were used. this song will get you singing along in no time.
other tracks include, one classical east euorpean music inspired tune (like a fairy tale), a soft rock band sound number, light and lively pop tune in collaboration with the guitarist of FIR...etc
my particular favourite is track 5 "last time"...a jazzy melancholy tune that is a bit sad and emotional butr subtle. reminds me a bit of songs from brit group Postishead.
in all, this album is a luxurious and enjoyable. a muscial experience...together with jeff's beautiful voclas...perfect
