An Excellent Album
An Excellent Album
| Jay Chou maintains his usual high standard of music creation. Every song in the album can itself act as a title song. "Cowboys are busy" is something new that Jay has ever tried. "Wu Shuang" blends with some Indian music element, making it a unique piece. The ballads, as always, are very impressive especially "Rainbow". "Blue Porcelain", yet another song of "China Winds - Zhong Guo Feng" just won "The best song of the year" and "Best song writer" awards at the 19th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. I strongly recommend this album. |

Unbelievable talent
Unbelievable talent

I only started to listen to Jay's music 2 years ago. Now I am completely converted. This latest album is another example of his unbelievable talent. It's not better, it's just different from his previous work. That's the thing about Jay's work, just full of surprises. I am actually glad that there are more variations than his hip hop roots. The complexity of his music arrangements, the lyrics, they are all fantastic. That's why I never get tired of listening to Jay - you can always find something new each time you listen carefully to his music. I like all the songs, but since no one has mentioned them yet, I would recommend #2 (Rainbow) and #10 (The longest movie). The cowboy song is also cute but just a little commercial, which is not entirely a bad thing. |
