| I'm truly amazed that Jay Chou can deliver such an excellent album this year within limited production time. Every song becomes my favorites. I especially like the last song, "The Longest Movie", which is so moving. Looking forward to Jay's 9th album already. |

being a jay chou music fan,i have every single jay chou album and this one is the worst. maybe he's been too busy with filming ( like lee hom). the cowboy song is cute, creative and unexpected but i won't say it's a good song. the rest of the songs sound like his previous music but with really boring melodies. nothing catchy. jay's voice has improved a lot since his first album. and i have no doubts abt his music talent. his voice has never been that good but he's made up for it by his enormous talent in song-writing and production. but this time, i think he's been spread too thin. wasted my money. only die-hard teeny-bopper or tone-deaf fans will indulge in this album. he can do better than this. and actually it wld be even better if he stopped singing and got others with better voices to sing his songs. |

After his 2006 release Still Fantasy which sold over 3 million copies across Asia, Jay is back again with a brand new album On The Run. The album contains something new that Jay never tried before, Country Style. The Cowboy on The Run, the country track off the album is more of an silly funny song. Its a type of song you have to keep on listening to like. The album of course contain Jay's famous ballads and him combining western beats with old chinese instruments. Rainbow is a really nice and slow ballad. The third track Blue and White is my favorite out of the whole album. It has that magic feel to it. It's definitely the best song out of the whole album. Jay has improved so much and there is actually change in his music. I love the album its really good. It's a must buy album. |
