Diva. Ah Hey (US Version)

October 22, 2006 a shockerDiva Ah Hey is pretty good movie. It was a shocker 'cause did not think this was going to be a good movie. Watched it for the sole fact of wanting to see Charlene Choi. She is the cutest Hong Kong actor on the scene. She's got spunk and she's perky and lively. She's got personality. She shines in this movie. As Ah Hey a girl working alongside with her father in the fish market of their little village. She has dreams to becoming a famous singer. Her uncle works as an entertainment manager in the city. She gets a job as an assistant to Shadow a popular idol played by Niki Chow. Shadow is set to record a first music album. The problem is Shadow is not interested in singing. She is interested in being a stand-up comedian. She is forced to record. One evening at the studio they were experiencing techincal difficulties and the lights went out. Ah Hey sings and they think it is Shadow. When they find out it is Ah Hey, they ask her to record. They try to fool the public by letting them think it is Shadow singing when it is Ah Hey singing. The story is good. The movie is good. The acting is good. Charlene is best.

Devil Face, Angel Heart
October 22, 2006 sex combined with violenceDevil Face Angel Heart is probably referring to Daniel Wu's character in this movie. The story is about Daniel Wu needing to take revenge for the death of his brother. He has to find a way to worm his way into the bad guy's place to do it. This movie is sex combined with violence. Hated it. It was bad.

The Peeping (US Version)
October 22, 2006 Sickenly HorribleThe Peeping is a sickenly horrible piece. Don't even bother to call this a movie. It is not a movie. It is sickenly horrible. It is more like a home sex video shot by an amatuer.

October 22, 2006 again violent
Daniel Wu did a string of violent movies. I watched them 'cause people were raving about him all the time. All he did was either violent movies or gay themed movies. Hit Team is another maximized violent movie. To the extreme that ended up throwing up at the end.

October 22, 2006 violent action movieUndercover Blues should be called Bloody Knives and Bullets. It contains violence to the maximum extreme. It is very disgusting and scary to see them chop up a guy piece by piece with no mercy. Then there is one that was shot dead and they put gasoline into his body, a bullet hit this body and the entire car exploded. Scary! Too violent! Do not buy! It is horrible! Violent to the maximum extreme!

October 22, 2006 bad violent movieBorn Wild as the title suggests it is going to be a violent movie. Had never thought it was going to be THAT violent! the movie is one major bad violent fight and blood gush. Don't recommend for people with low threshold for violence and blood. It is scary and horibble.

Cop on a mission
October 22, 2006 bad to the rotten coreCop on a Mission is the English title the Chinese title is Know the Law, Break the Law. Daniel Wu plays a good cop gone rottenly bad to the deep rotten core. He wants it all the money and hot chicks the fast and bad way. There is a scene showing him taking a shower and shows his back and buttocks. He was thinking about the mob boss's girlfriend and masturbating in the shower. There was no point to that scene. The story is fair. The acting is ordinary.

Peony Pavilion (Deluxe Version)

October 22, 2006 artistic adult theme moviePeony Pavilion is an artistic adult theme movie and deals with subjects of sexual confusion, lesbian and heterosexual experiences. The movie is too artistic to the point it becomes slow and drags. The background and setting is elaborate to the very extreme it creates a suffocating atmosphere. At the end the audience will feel like they were on opium. It is hard to try to watch this movie again.

Marry A Rich Man (US Version)

October 22, 2006 A dudMarry a Rich Man is a dud. Two thumbs down for this movie. Hugely immensely disappointed. This movie is a flop. There were a few laughs. The story concept is based on cinderella and the other half is trying to make it look like a reality show. Bad idea to make it seem like a reality show. Bad bad idea.

October 22, 2006 waste of time and moneyJust One Look is a waste of time and money. My reason for buying this is Twins. This is a bad reason to get this movie. Charlene is cute. Gillian is...... don't know what to say for her. The story is weird and does not make any sense of whatsoever.

Fighting For Love

October 22, 2006 Sammi & Tony LeungDid not think Sammi and Tony Leung made a good match. Never would have thought about putting them together. It oddly worked out for them in this movie Fighting for Love. Director Joe Ma knows how to make these love movies work. I liked Niki Chow in this movie. Niki Chow has a pretty smile. The movie is about can two strangers who got into an argument become friends and later become lovers? They don't really live together like the Chinese title says. Sammi only lived at Tony Leung's house for a while and she go back to her home where her father lives. I liked this movie. It is good to watch again.
