The story starts with a legend that happened twenty years ago, when the apprentices of a fraud shot each other because of a dispute over tons of shiny gold. Nobody knows the whereabouts of these people, nor of the huge treasure, and never does any one expect this event will trigger a whole series of cheating twenty years later! In a shabby slum lives Wu (Cecilia Yip) and her daughter Yu-er (Li Qian), who makes a living deceiving rich people. On Yu-er's 20th birthday, her mother tells her that they are actually waiting for a chance to take revenge on Zhuang Cheng (Paul Chun) who, according to Wu, has killed Yu-er's father. Meanwhile, Zhuang sends his son Ruo-long (Alec Su) to convince occupants of the slums to move out. Without knowing his father's hidden agenda behind redeveloping the slum, Ruo-long moves into the slum, disguising himself as a frustrated young man, and befriends Yu-er. Will Ruo-long and Yu-er find out how everything is related to the legend about the treasure?
