March 21, 2009 WONDERFUL!I did not expect that BoA's US album would be this good. Her songs are all up-beat and exciting. The melody, the beat and even the lyrics are all very catchy and her English is not bad either. BoA has made a huge step up into the US entertainment market!
In the past when BoA was trying to spell out the English words in her Korean and Japanese hit songs like "Valenti", "Amazing Kiss", "ID; Peace B" etc. this time, her English is a lot better, great improvement! My favorite songs would be "Did Ya", "Look Who's Talking", "Eat You Up" and "Touched", but in general, all of the songs in this album are good and it is pretty hard to pick an actual best song.
Moreover, BoA somewhat has grown up a lot in this debut. There are more spices and sexiness in her music and also more powerful beat and vocal. The English version of "Girls On Top" is very good too, even though I may prefer the Korean one since it's the original, but in English, I understand exactly what the song is about and I can feel the energy and power in it.
If you are a fan of BoA, this is a STRONGLY RECOMMENDED album since you don't want to miss her debut CD in US and also a very great one. This is also a good recommendation for those who have not known BoA yet. I think if you buy this CD, you will not regret especially those who loves dance/electronic music.
The only one thing I would like to add in this album is one or two ballad songs would be good, it help to add more varieties and expressions in the CD, however, it is not a big problem. The CD itself can make a very good dance/party DJ itself.

June 11, 2008 Happy Summer! ^^I was very surprised to hear that SM Ent. would release another Suju sub-group. I honestly did not like that idea since there are already so many Suju sub-groups including Super Junior T, Super Junior KRY, and lately Super Junior M. Super Junior Happy is pretty much like Super Junior T except the replacement of Heechul - Yesung. When I heard about the upcoming release single of Super Junior Happy - "Cooking? Cooking!" I thought it would be some "kiddy" song and it would not be interesting enough to listen to.
However, since I am a HUGE fan of Super Junior, I could not hesitate to purchase the CD as soon as it was released in the Music store in my area. I listened to all the songs and I was very impressed. "Cooking? Cooking!" is definitely a very cute and catchy song. It makes me want to dance along when I listen to the song. I also watched the MV of "Cooking? Cooking!" and it was very good. Even though it reminds me a lot of "Rokkugo" by Super Junior T, the appearances of Yesung and Sunny form Girls' Generation give something new and different in this video, very enjoyable.
Moreover, other songs from the album are very good too. Honestly, my favorite song is not "Cooking? Cooking!" though I really like it too, it's "Pajama Party" (track 2), which gives the listener a cheerful feeling and it is a wonderful song for slumber party! :D "You & I" (track 3), "Sunny" (track 4), and "Good Luck" (track 5) are also cheerful and very warm-hearted songs. I had a doubt on this album but after listening to it, my doubt automatically disappeared. This is absolutely the album of the summer 2008! May 3, 2008 Youth Energy!The album cover is very attractive. The music? Cute, catchy and mostly cheerful. But the idea of this album repackage is not that good, I'm not really happy with it since the repackage one, though, has a more attractive cover, it only has like 3 more new songs, which actually not new at all but 1 remix and 1 new songs made in 2 different versions.
The music is good so if you don't have Girls generation's album yet, get this one instead of the old version. But if you already got the old version of this album, then don't get this because it'd be just a waste of money unless you're really really into Girls Generation and want to collect all their stuff.Did you find this review helpful? May 2, 2008 A little bit more of cheers...They're still SG Wannabe even though Chae Dong Ha has left the group, Lee Suk Hoon has made a nice replacement. Before this album was released, I was afraid of the replacement of Dongha since I kept wondering who could perfectly fit in SG Wannabe, this person must be a very good singer with an amazing vocal. I was very sad when Dongha left but I think Lee Suk Hoon somehow has made it up for me. I'm pretty satisfied with his entrance in the group and presenting his voice in the 5th SG Wannabe album "My friend". Lee Suk Hoon's voice goes very nicely and smoothly with the other two Yong Jun and Jinho. Jinho is my favorite in the group with his powerful and totally unique voice but Lee Suk Hoon proves that he could be as good as Jinho with a different voice in a soft, smooth country style that slightly brings a new sound in SG Wannabe music.
When this album was first announced to be released, I immediately made a pre-order since I'm in love with the "SGWB music" (this is how I name their music). I thought maybe the music was just the same, just so typical SGWB, slow, sweet, romantic, and slightly sad ballads sung by the most beautiful voices of today's K-pop generation. I didn't really care since that's how SGWB is and that's what makes them wonderful. However, "My friend" actually shows a new SGWB, not completely, but in some ways SGWB has put a little bit of a new "spice" in their music. Traditionally, SGWB music rather sounds sad, quite emotional and sensational and most of them are love stories. As a foreign listener (for I do not speak fluent Korean), my opinion for this album is that it has started a light in me when I listen to it. The song "Lalala" really makes me smile and I just love it. The new voice of Lee Suk Hoon really amazed me. Other great tracks that I'm totally in love with are 3. "sarang ha ni kka", 7. "Kiss", 8. "Yuh bo se yo", 11. Happy!, 13. Ee toh rok ah reum da oon"...
A very highly recommandation for SG Wannabe fans, also K-pop lovers and anyone who just starts to get to know about Korean music. This album has made my day when I received it from Yesasia. I'm really excited for more SGWB songs.

Some are very romantic, some are slightly sad, some are somehow happy but sadness hidden. (I do not speak much Korean so I don't really understand every single word they sing but I can feel it in the melodies and that's what makes me love them and their music). My favorite tracks are 1. Arirang, 2. Eun, 3. Han yuh reum nan ri ghoom (duet with Ok Joo Hyun), 6. Ka shi na mu se, and 14. Sarangha jarka. Track 1 starts with a pretty cheerful melody along with the traditional instruments (drums and the "Asian violin" ;P, sorry I don't know how to call it in English). This song really makes me feel high and cheerful, something very Asian, very traditional and so nice and full of energy with the SG voices. It's a great combination between the instruments and the beautiful voices (which also includes the background vocal of a traditional Korean folk-song voice). The 2nd song is rather romantic though, I think, it's a heart-broken song (since it starts with "Love is pain, pain is love"), but it does not really matter since when they sing, they're really into it, sometimes their voices are really high which is hard for man's tone. Track 3 is simply wonderful. i really love the idea that SG Wannabe duet with Ok Joo Hyun, her voice is powerful and pure that makes the song more attractive and influential to the listeners. Perfect! The 6th one is sad... Everytime I listen to the song, I feel like crying... which means SG Wannabe is successful singing this song.
I love all the songs though and I highly recommend this CD. Of course I think all SG wannabe's CDs are good and must-have but this one so far is my most favorite. However, I am quite disappointed that I cannot see my fav member Kangin's face that clear. Anyway, generally, the whole look is quite nice with the sport theme for each season of the year. That is creative. The dates are small so this is more like a little book of SuJu's pictures than a calendar (unless you are a SuJu freak that you look at their pictures everyday very closely so you can also see the day numbers)

I agree with the review below me that it could be quite frustrating putting it on, but when you get the hang of it, it is perfectly comfortable. Actually when I wear it, I feel more confident, something like "oh I'm cool!" *^.^*
I would recommend this product not only to SuJu fans but also everyone who likes something a bit punk, goth, tomboy or naughty in their styles. If you have long hair, it is best to have your hair tied up when you wear this earring to show it off. I was thinking to buy another one to make a pair (since this earring is only a single one, not a pair) but I think it is better with only one. The price is so expensive for just one piece of earring but I am very happy to have it (I actually got it for free from a purchase of Yesasia :P) and yes, it's Eeteuk's style!!Did you find this review helpful? April 16, 2008 A GREAT comeback!!!Super Junior finally come back with the great hit Don't Don and their second album same title after a long time not heard from them since "Happiness". This is a very good album with variety of melodies in it (mostly romantic songs beside Don't Don). Sapphire Blue, Marry U, Missin' U, Our Love, Midnight Fantasy and Song for You are my favorites. I have bought all versions of this album but this one could be the best with an awesome SuJu's picture booklet, and each member's photos in it. A great gift for SuJu fans. It would be a big lack if you don't have this CD in your SuJu collection.

Version 2: new version of Marry U, and new songs The Girl is Mine, A Man in Love (org. version and remix)

April 15, 2008 Great Japanese Album!!!I actually prefer Boa's Korean songs to Japanese songs (well I like K-pop, not so much for J-pop though). But this album is amazing. The cover is really attractive with Boa doing makeup along with her beautiful dress-up. I never cared to buy a Japanese CD by Boa but this one just caught my eyes. I hesitated to buy it since I was not sure if the songs were good. Then I decided to get it and after I listened to the CD and watched both DVDs, I was very impressed and satisfied. The music is very amusing and upbeat. I especially love Aggressive, Sweet Impact, Happy Birthday, Lose Your Mind, Beautiful Flowers and Best Friend. Boa's voice seems like it has not changed for many years since she just started her singing career at the very young age 14. I love it! The DVD 1 is awesome with her latest best single videos including Sweet Impact, Lose Your Mind (my fav.), Love Letter, and Be With You, and the making of every clip with Boa's personal comments, and the progress of making the face etc. (also a special piano version of "Be With You"). DVD 2 shows parts of her latest live shows in Japan. When I watched her performing, it was very impressive and beautiful. Her voice is real and powerful, her dancing is amazing, her style is attractive... I love it!!!

April 15, 2008 db db db dib dib!!!...I never heard about Double S before. I did see couple of their posters in a Korean CD store I usually go to but they did not attract me much. I thought compared to DBSK and SuJu, this group is "zero" but I was wrong. After I listened to Deja vu, I was very very attracted to it. I was like "OMG I gotta buy this CD!" And I did. The other 2 sings in the single are very nice and catchy too, they make me want to dance along everytime I listen to them. Deja vu actually is my favorite by now and I cannot help repeating "db db db dib dib" when I listen to it. SS501 sure has improved a lot and I will support them more so keep it up guys!!!
If you're a fan of double S, you MUST own this CD; otherwise, it would be a great gap in your collection :P

April 15, 2008 Beautiful Music and VoiceI never heard about Gummy before until my friend told me and the first song I listened to was "Clap your hands" and "Mian he yo" (Sorry) and they really caught my attention. I didn't think that I would listen to this CD but then I just could not help it since I listen to her songs everytime I go visit my friend. I finally bought the CD and I'm in love with it. My most favorite song is number 8 "Ta keum", others are 2. "Clap your hands", 3. "Mian he yo", 5. "Kuhooleul bodaka", etc. I recommend this CD if you truly love Korean music, not because of the look but the singer's voice, Gummy is a great choice along with SG Wannabe, Younha, Kim Jung Kook etc. You will not regret buying it. =^^= Did you find this review helpful?
