Speena spindles the tapestry of Girlie JROCK!
|
Probably the most underrated band in my thoughts, Speena started with the rudiments of it's members in the verge of their failures, but with their great surprise in the JROCK scene, it seems that this great Band would blast away a lot of female induced rock bands. The first song Speena is arguably the cutest and bubbliest song in the track, probably my favorite. It deals with a girl getting her first toy- a bear, and from this bear, you can clearly define that it is a bear of ugly proportions. Speena does their best to clearly state the message of the song, which is true friendship- True friendship that never bound any other physical figure, but moreover on the side of good. The result? A truly upbeat track that challenges the cuteness of Aya Matsuura, Ayumi Hamasaki and the greatest JPOP stars combined. A truly lovable track with great chibi-ish elements thrown into it. A great track also to be danced until the very end of the song! The second song, Sixteen, is more rock-ish, and more likely also, a song that's straight out of an anime that's about travelling. It starts out with a sleazy pseudo-anglican accent of the Japanese, and fully blow out into Nippon-anglican elements later. Also a great track in the single. The two other songs are great to sing into, but with Speena's popularity not that much in the internet culture, the lyrics can't be found that easily. Moreover, Speena is a symbol of faith. Faith into what you believe in and never giving up, just like their song Speena. Excelsior SPEENA! |
