Great Work Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Well, both songs on this CD are great. They are both catchy and both have great vocals done by their respective vocalist. For some reason, I really prefer this new version of milky way as opposed to the A-side track. I've never heard the original milky way, so I can't compare, but with tetsu's vocals, the song is so sweet. While his voice lacks the power that HYDE's has, there is just something about it that makes it . . . for the lack of a better word, cute. I've never heard anything like it. I'd like to see more p'unk work. Great stuff.

"Jiyu e no Shotai" is wonderful Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
L'Arc en Ciel once again makes beautiful music with "Jiyu e no Shotai". Yukihiro's beats are on point. Combine that with the accompaniment of Tetsu and Ken's strings, and Hyde's powerful vocals, and once again L'Arc en Ciel has outdone themselves in this highly spirited, uplifting song.
The second track on this cd, "Milky Way", was a little different than the other L'Arc en Ciel songs I've heard. Even so, it flowed nicely, and I enjoyed it also.
I also like the picture of the Pegasus on the cover. This cd is highly recommended by me.

A song for the summer Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
L'Arc~en~Ciel's 3rd single of 2004, 'Jiyu e no Shotai' (aka Invitation to Freedom) definitely brings the sound of summer! It's happy beat keeps the listener bobbing their head, and along with its catchy tune, you'll definitely be singing along to this after a few repeats. The hydeless version offers a different sound to the original song in that tetsu does a lot of the background vocals. And without hyde's voice, you can definitely hear tetsu's high-pitch harmony. And that in itself is definitely a catch in that it's really rare to be able to hear tetsu in the song (unless you listen really hard). P'UNK~EN~CIEL's cover of 'milky way' is super awesome. It is in the key that tetsu wanted it to be, and TETSU P'UNK delivers a superb performance. Along with HYDE P'UNK on guitar, KEN P'UNK on drums, and YUKI P'UNK on bass, this powerful group can almost rival the original L'Arc~en~Ciel. From the name of the group, 'milky way' has been rocked and punked up, carrying a less mellow mood to it. In anycase, the single is a definite hit, and the c/w is a really special lil something that shouldn't be looked down upon. It's a must-buy for fans, and for anyone who's looking for something to bob your head with, this is definitely the single to buy!

not a bad buy Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
i just love their new song. Jiyuu e no shoutai is a great song! it's catchy and lively! :)it's the kind of song that u can hear over and over again and not get tired of it. i think the cd cover looks pretty good too! it's quite stylish. still, i'm disappointed by the c/w song. when i first got news of their new single, i wondered what the coupling song wld be. it turned out to be milky way. althought it's a tetsu p'unked version, i still prefer the original version which is sang by hyde. i rather L'arc-en-ciel come up with a new song to be the coupling song. nice main track, but i'm disappointed with the c/w song.

Creative Stuff From Laruku, yet again Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Absolutely fabulous! Laruku outdone themselves yet again with this powerful, rhythmic release. The title track seems to sound like something off SMILE (should have been track number 10 in that album), whereas Milky Way has been given a whole new lease of life with its punk'ed rendition. Absolutely a must have.
