May 5, 2006 ULTRA BLUE & ULTRA AMAZINGWell its been quite some time since Utada Hikaru released an actual album with new material and awesome singles but now four years later after the amazement of Deep River shes back with her new album Ultra Blue. The name may be exotic but its unique and refreshing and has a good ring to it. While there may be only six new tracks, I have a feeling that this album is going to be a top notch album that will be the album of the year. Looking at the history of her last six singles, all of which have hit the number one spot then it is safe to say that these six new songs will be amazing. (Quite frankly I think 6 new sings with great quality is better then ten new songs with low quality). Ill give you a low down on her past singles to let you figure out how good the new songs will be. Colors was released a while ago but its still a good song. The lyrics are amazing and meaningful, the music is fresh and unique, and of course her vocals are amazing. Id give Colors a 10/10. Then there is Dareka once again one of her best singles ever. Its a beautiful piano ballade with meaningful true to life lyrics that everyone can relate to in one way or another. Dareka is a 10/10. Then there is Be My Last which is one of my favorite ballades that shes produces since Final Distance. Be My Last is a beautiful ballade that starts out with a guitar and building in the piano and beautiful melody with lyrics that almost moved me to tears. Be My Last gets a 10/10. Then came Passion which gets bonus points due to the fact that is was the KH2 theme song. Passion was her most unique track since practically ever. At first I thought it sounded messy but after a few listens I found the lyrics to be something I can relate to and the melody and exotic sounds made the song complete. Passion gets a 10/10. Then came Keep Tryin, which was so inspirational and amazing. Keep Tryin gets a 10/10. Then of course theres WINGS which is an odd RNB song which blew me away with its lyrics and vocals. WINGS gets a 10/10. So seeing that all the singles are 10/10 you can safely assume that all the other tracks will get a 10/10. I cant wait for the new album to come out. Keep Tryin is SO insperational and is something people need to hear more often. And as for WINGS I was BLOWN AWAY!!! i dont know which I like better....KEEP TRYIN or WINGS!!! but the vocals are great so THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!!!

This album TOPS even her MY STORY album! NOT only does this CD come with the CD and DVE but comes with a BEAUTIFUL PHOTO BOOK that is a must have for any AYU fan! My actual review of the music quality will come soon once I get and her the album.

December 4, 2005 BOLD &......UNIQUE !!!!Well, over all Bold and Delicious is very unique song that has pieces of "pop" "hip hop" and "gospel" all blended into one. In my opinion its a great song that deserves 10 out of 10. The PV is also AMAZING and adds more life to the song. With out watching the PV the song Bold and Delicious may not be so impressive. Pride is the BEST track on this CD. It has a beautiful melody that evokes a very creepy feeling and it is sung in a way that gives the song a sad depressing sound. While some people say that PRIDE is dry, I dont know what they're listening to because it is sung full of emotion. Over all this is a GREAT single and I highly recommend it. I would buy the CD+DVD because neither song would be too impressive with out first viewing the PV.....Especially Pride,,,,just listening to PRIDE may not be so impressive unless the PV is viewed because I must admit that until I saw the PV I was not at all impressed with PRIDE. November 21, 2005 AMAZINGWell I just heard Utada Hikaru's new single "PASSION" on the radio and......IT'S AMAZING! Just like "BE MY LAST"....only unlike "BE MY LAST" the style is TOTALY different. Now it wasn't a song I listened to once and feel in love with but after the second listen I can literally say it was OFF THE CHAIN. Its full of emotion and creative sounds that give this song a unique different kind of flavor that most songs lack both in Japan and America. Her vocals are of course up to high standards as they ALWAYS WERE. For those of you who were complaining about her so called "back vocals" well I know for sure you won't find any signing flaws (even though there were none to begin with in the last single)....Ahem, but back to the point I must say this is a must have SINGLE.....the style of the song reminds me a bit of Her Sakura drops song from the Deep River album. This SINGLE IS SO GREAT.......even if u didnt like BE MY LAST you'll love this song because its nothing like BE MY LAST. So if I were u I would by this amazing single.

October 8, 2005 GREAT EXPECTATIONSIn my opinion "BE MY LAST" was an amazing ballad so with that said I think it is safe to say that we can expect the same quality in Utada's newest single "PASSION". I mean it could even be better then "BE MY LAST" considering it is being used for the "KINGDOM HEARTS 2" them song. Since "SIMPLE AND CLEAN" and "HIKARI", were amazing songs and were used as the "KINDOM HEARTS" them song then "PASSION" has to live up the quality of "SIMPLE AND CLEAN. I have read many complants about the song and I don't get what people are complaining about. There is so much emotion in this song that when I first heard and saw the AMAZING PV I almost cried. The lyrical content is supurb and her vocals are above and beyond most Japanese and American Artists. If I were you I would by the CD+DVD version just to get the full affect of this beatiful ballad. August 12, 2005 YES ANOTHER HOT SINGLEWell after listening to Fairyland I can't wait for this new single. Ayumi is really on the ball when it comes to producing favorible, addictive, high qaulity music, and this Heaven single will be dinomite like all her other hit sinles in the past!!!!!!!!!!
