Even So (Japan Version)
February 13, 2005 Makes up for Present and more!I was disappointed by Bonnie Pink's last album, Present. Even So more than makes up for it! Every song on this album is good. The only con I can think of is using the hook from Olivia Newton John's "Physical" as the opening to 1 2 3. Everyone should buy this album! Last Kiss, Ocean, New Dawn, 5 more minutes, Private Laughter, Mint..... all incredible songs.

February 13, 2005 Sadly unmemorable
One lowpoing in Bonnie's career, to me. Tonight, the Night is the best song. Her voice is pretty and the songs are nice, but nothing other than the song I mentioned stands out. I was disappointed.

February 13, 2005 Good, of courseAs usual, this album by Bonnie Pink is very good. It contains songs in both English and Japanese. Usually accents in English annoy me, but Bonnie Pink's is quite the opposite. It's very cute and I would be mad if she would ever lose it. My favorite songs are Sweet, Building a Castle, Thinking of You (though I like the single version a little better), and Nemurenai Yoru.

February 13, 2005 Just Beautiful
Geez, can't Bonnie Pink ever release some bad stuff? Nemurenai Yoru is a very beautiful ballad (as are ALL of her ballads). The coupling track is also good.

February 13, 2005 Pleasant and Clear
Another great album by Bonnie Pink. She has an adorable accent when using English. Pretty much all of the songs on this album are good, especially You are Blue, so am I.

The song is basically about Bonnie Pink wanting her boyfriend to cheer up because his moodiness also makes her sad.

February 13, 2005 Half and half
Half of this song is great. The other half is bad. I find Sunglasses, Kotoba ni Naranai Kimochi, For You, and Hayatochi Remix extremely boring. Wait and See, Addicted to You, Kettobase, and Time Limit are excellent. Can You Keep a Secret, Drama, and Distance are also good. Unfortunately, Hikki's voice struggling to reach the high notes ruins Eternally, which would otherwise be a beautiful ballad. Despite all its low points, I would still recommend this album.

Don't get me wrong, Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro is a very pretty song. But it's very boring in comparison to her old works. I also think she made it in too high a register for her voice. She just barely makes the high notes in the studio version. I shudder imagining her performing it live.

I didn't think Kiss in the Sky measured up to her earlier albums and really didn't care for Mars and Roses. Singer for Singer really surprised me! It's now my favorite album of hers ever! Despite the somewhat short tracklisting, Singer for Singer is a must-have for any MISIA fans. The tracks I especially recommend are Let it Smile, Mama Says, Birthday Cake, Niji no Lalala, and Holy Hold Me. This definitely makes up for Mars and Roses.
