February 13, 2006 OUTGROW-BOA*After her memorable release of her first BEST HIT album-BEST OF SOUL, BoA is ready to strike Japanese entertainment once again!
This album collects her songs from her singles: DO THE MOTION (Orcion #1), make a secret (Oricon #4), Dakishimeur(#7) and Everlasting (Oricon #3). These are the favors of this album. OUTGROW~Ready Butterfly~ is a very catchy song, with the mixed background music of violin and drums, BoA's voice sounds even more clear than usual. This song is definitely a must-listen.
However, the unattractiveness of this album is that it also includes many of her past singles' B-side songs, such as "kimi no tonaride", "With U", "LONG TIME NO SEE"...etc. Which also makes fans, like me, wonder if it's worth it, having purchased her singles already. But if you haven't, this is a chance to see the OUTGROWN BoA flying in the rhythm of pop music.
Another point makes me write a little disparagingly about this album is that the lyrics are poorly written. For example, this song-Stay my Gold, honestly, it took me a long time trying to firgure out what it's supposed to mean, in the end, I still don't get it. In addition, repetition the lyrics of this song: "I sing this song for you", sounds very annoying. I have so much so say about the lyrics but don't want to disturb other fans' interest of buying this album. I hope all of you who pre-ordered or are going to buy this album will enjoy it; despite the facts that this is not the best of what BoA can do and that Avex didn't put its heart into the production of this album.Did you find this review helpful?
