December 30, 2009 THE BEST album of 2009!!!A few weeks ago, I had already made up my mind which album ranks first among all that have been released during 2009.
I wasn't expecting much from the month of December since usually
that's when K-Pop artists get ready to close out the year through year-end specials, performances, and awards,
and prepare for the following year's big name comebacks and high-profile debuts.
I was ready to wrap up K-Pop's year of music, but little did I know that it was saving the best for last... :)
T-Ara's Absolute First Album (just mentioning the name already gives me goosebumps) is definitely the biggest surprise of the year.
Oh man, it totally blew me away!
This, everyone, IS the best album of 2009!
During the first few months of their debut, T-Ara remained in the background while other girl groups rose to fame and popularity.
I, for one, wasn't really interested in them.
But with this album, T-Ara has leapfrogged over the rest of the competition and has established itself as one of the leading groups of K-Pop.
With this album, I am now a fan. :)
Usually, when I listen to a CD, there would be a few tracks which don't interest me so I'd rather skip them.
But with this CD, EVERY track is worth listening to.
"Like The First Time" (Track 2) and "Bye Bye" (Track 5) are my absolute favorites!
"Bye Bye" would be perfect during the New Year's Eve party,
while "Tic Tic Toc" (Track 5), "One & One" (Track 1), and "Wanna Play" (Track 14) make great club anthems.
This album also puts in other genres into the mix like bubble-gum pop ("Apple Is A", Track 6), R&B ("Falling U", Track 7) and ballad ("Good Person", Track 13);
and features the group's past hits like Lies and TTL, with two versions each.
If you're a fan of TTL, you'll also like "You You You" (Track 8).
Overall, I must say, this is how a debut album should be!
I can't stress enough how great it is.
I wouldn't mind buying ten copies of it.
It's that worthwhile!

June 28, 2009 So far, THE BEST album of 2009!I spend a lot of money on Korean CDs, and I can tell you that I've bought a lot this year.
I don't just buy stuff unless I've sampled it and considered it worth buying.
For Super Junior's third album, after listening to it, I can say this with full confidence:
So far, Sorry Sorry IS the best album of 2009!
I'm so glad I bought it!
It's You and Sorry, Sorry are only two of the several great songs in this CD.
Love Disease, Monster, Love U More and What If are my other top favorites.
SM should release any of these singles as they have so much potential.
Angela and Reset are good as well, and even though Why I Like You sounds a bit like Ne'Yo's Closer,
it's still very much enjoyable.
The rest of the album may not impress a lot of people though.
I like Happy Together and Shining Star as they are my feel-good songs.
But Club No.1 and She Wants It are the ones that I skip almost everytime.
Overall, I think, Super Junior has done superbly for this third installment, especially for Version C.
The 250,000+ copies sold (already the highest for this year) is just a testament of
just how good this album really is.
Certainly, Super Junior has outdone themselves once again!
I'll be looking forward to the next album!

June 8, 2008 Never fails to deliver!Wow! Super Junior always comes up with great material in their albums.
Even with only 6 members, this sub-group has maintained the musicality that the main group is known for.
I've heard samples of the tracks online,
and what can I say? Awesome job!
I pre-ordered the CD right away!
Even more awesome is the addition of Yesung to Super Junior H.
His vocals just stand out...really amazing!
Oh my, tracks 1, 2, and 5 will further heat up my summer!

May 25, 2008 Too good for a debut!This debut album is just awesome for a new group like A'ST1.
It's really worth more than the 9 dollars I spent.
I mean, each and every single in the album can be a big hit!
My personal favorites include 'You' and 'Show'...woohoo, super hot!
The fact that this CD is not yet in the bestsellers list and
the major Korean charts only shows how A'ST1 is underrated by many.
They're so talented. I hope they make it big!
