the end of shite (Japan Version)
March 26, 2002 approach with cautionaltho' i love yuki...i was a bit dissapointed by this and her "prism" single. both releases find her warbling for a distinct style. alot of times it sounds like there was not much thought and effort put into the songwriting process. it seems as if alot of the strength in this lies in yuki's name and star power alone. i know that yuki is an amazing singewr and a huge pop presence...but i think i was just expecting more from her...esp. considering that she had help with these songs from Spitz members. i think with time and a bit more imagination...her solo efforts will take off...but this seems to be a shakey start. i am looking forward to the full-length record to see if any of these songs sound better as a whole listening experience. WARP (Japan Ver.)
October 24, 2001 mind blowing warp !!i was super excited to finally get my hands on this new and final release by yuki and company. i was just a litle bit hesitant to believe every good thing i had read about this cd...just b/c JAM have constantly been an amzing team of songwriters and performers and i wasn't sure that they could pull it off again. but i stand corrected. this is so over the top--so weonderful--so full of life....truly their best album ever. the musical equalivent to pure unblemished joy.
