w-inds. - 1st message (Overseas Version)
October 4, 2002 Good choiceW-inds is kind of a techno group. These guys have lots of personality which is shown in their variety of songs. Forever Memories is cute, while Round&Round and the New Generation are like rap songs. They are great singers and this album is really nice. I just want to sing along. The switch between slower and faster singing and pauses are effective. This pop CD is great. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
TUNE ON (Japan Version)
July 1, 2002 Very good tranceAs I expected, it sounds like Move's recent music, energetic trance. Motsu is still the songwriter. All the words are in English. 76 minutes of Japanese trance sounds good to me. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Lights 2 (Overseas Version)
June 4, 2002 It's great! The fun is not over yet. In the follow-up album, Globe really shows what they can do. The techno is great, and it's catchy, but not overwhelming. Overall, the melodies flow better than Lights 1. It has techno, piano, an organ, Keiko's pleasant vocals, rap, and dance-like pop. Almost all the songs are excellent! They have the usual deep attitudes and strange instruments. "Inspired from R&B" is enchanting. I can listen to it all the time. Those who liked Lights 1 will probably not be disappointed with Lights 2. Great buy! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
POWER OF WORDS (Japan Version)
June 4, 2002 Wow RinaPower of Words was #1 on the charts on its day of release. Rina's instruments are so much better than similar artists! There is such a variety of genres: dance pop, rock, techno-dance and ballad, all of which sound good, with striking melodies and great vocals. It has something for everybody. Rina has gotten me interested in types of music I haven't traditionally liked before! I loved Power of Words! Recommended to anyone. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Lights (Hong Kong Version)
April 25, 2002 Globe knows popWhat I really like about Globe is that the melody is dynamic; the tunes do not seem tiresome. Many Classic Moments is gentle techno. Genesis of Next and others are also techno and have a medium tempo. Try This Shoot is what it's all about; it's so catchy it's hard to get out of my head. Merry Go Round is great; it sounds kind of medieval with its gentle strings. Megami and Lights Brought the Future are simple, gentle piano compositions. Overall I liked this album, some songs I loved and the vocals are so good. In the songs, sometimes it seems like the instruments don't flow together quite right, but then Globe has always been inconsistent. The instruments can be weird at times. The album achieves an overall deep and mature tone. Globe is one of the better music artists out there, and they have years of experience in pop music, which shows. If you want something more mature than simple teen pop, Lights is it. It's as good as I expected it to be, although I like Move better. If you like it too, look for Lights 2, the follow-up to this album. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
SYNERGY (Japan Version)
April 22, 2002 Sensational!Move's album is so jam-packed with the latest greatest songs that it's practically overflowing. They had to shorten some tracks from the single version just to fit them all in. Synergy is their best album yet because Move has improved. The techno trance music is energetic, but not obnoxious and it flows very well. Those who are used to calm Mai Kuraki-type music might be offstruck by the powerful techno. T-Kimura is the coolest musician around! Super Sonic Dance is for those who like conventional feel-good pop songs with a fast tempo. Blue Jewel, on the other hand, is kind of more dark and mysterious. USA is delightful. There are so many exceptional tracks! The keyboard instruments make the songs sound complete, and the singing is outstanding. The rhythm changes often enough to not sound repetitive, but not so often that the tone of the song is inconsistent. Unfortunately, they couldn't fit in "Sunday Funday" from the Fly Me So High single at all. The lyrics booklet has the words from the single versions, so the lyrics for these album edits are not exact. Yuri is pretty and Motsu is so cool. This has got to be some of the best music I've heard! Because of this, Move is my favorite music artist, although sometimes the overtones are a little silly. This entertaining album is strongly recommended. Another suggestion: Synergy Clips DVD. See Yuri, Motsu and TK in action in the music videos for the album! Did you find this review helpful? February 15, 2002 Very Nice
This is not one of those CDs that only has 1 or 2 good songs. Practically every track on this entire album is wonderful. It has a techno theme with a mixture of rap (Motsu)and regular vocals (Yuri). The music makes a great balance between strong and gentle techno. The robot voices make it sound really good and the melody flows nicely, not repetitively. The most upbeat songs are "Destiny" and "Strike On." I love "Lazy Cat vs Silly Dog" because it's weird. Motsu and Yuri switch between English and Japanese very often. Recommended for people who like techno and rap. I wish Move would be consistent with what they release on singles and albums. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
November 28, 2001 Excellent new techno
Two-Mix really shines in their 2001 album. They use many different types of computer synthesized techno instruments in their songs. "Discharge" sounds really upbeat and is really catchy. "La Vie en Rose" is one of the best songs on the album. It has beautiful vocals and its melody is thrilling. "Gravity Zero" is what the album is named after, and it is pretty good. Tracks 4, 6 and 7 are not as good as the first three, but I grew to like them more and more. Tracks 5 and 9 are average. "Holy Night Destiny" is supposed to be a Christmas song inspired by Silent Night, but it is not too exciting. Finally, "Into the Wind" is one of the best songs I've ever heard. It is triumphant and the techno is balanced, not overdone. It is a 14 minute track because there is a remix of "Discharge" afterwards. Overall, this is a magnificent album, I would've given it a slightly lower score, but I gave it 10/10 because Two-Mix is my favorite music artist and I have been waiting forever for this new album. Even if you don't know any Japanese I would recommend 0G because it is upbeat, balanced, unique techno pop. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
