本劇分為《真假猴王》、《人蔘果》、《提籃觀音》、《小雷音寺》、《黑熊精盜袈裟》、《悟空三戲二郎神》、《玄裝救父》、《朱紫國傳奇》、《月光寶盒》及《萬妖皈依》等十個單元，風格輕鬆幽默，又饒富人情味，帶出善有善報、惡有惡報的訊息。
註：由於母帶已製作經年，故在製作VCD的過程中，必須進行調色、重新配樂及剪輯等後期工作。但所有後期工作均在有必要的情況下進行，並以不影響劇情為原則。
