Love In Disguise (DVD) (English Subtitled) (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region 3
(1)Our Price: US$15.99Usually ships within 1 to 2 daysMarch 3, 2011 Funny story, and good English subtitlesI found this story even better than I had antecipated. It was really funny, especially when Du Minghan after having disguised himself as a student, has to go to his own concert with his fellow students and perform without them noticing he is gone. A typical scene, but still extremely funny. The music and songs in the film are beautiful. By combining "pop" music with Chinese traditional music, it opened my eyes to a musical genre I hadn't heard before. I really like it when something can do that to you, and this is afterall also what the film and the story in the film is surposed to do.
About this edition of "Love in disguise" by Kam & Ronson Enterprise Co.Ltd. The English subtitles on this edition are really good, BUT they are extremely small! I had a hard time reading them because they were so small. It didn't help zooming or inhancing the TV screen size. It strains your eyes quite a lot because you have to focus on something small at the same time as focusing on the film in a "normal" size. The difference takes to time to ajust to, and this is really sad because it affects the experience of the film. But at least the subtitles are good and understandable.

(9)Our Price: US$15.99Usually ships within 1 to 2 daysMarch 3, 2011 DVD detailsIt's true that this story is more or less the same as "Romeo and Juliette", so there aren't many surprises. But I liked the adaptation of the story into one of the Dynasties in Chinese history. It gave the story a freshness and originality and the scenery made the whole story so much more beautiful. The sharpness of the colours intensified everything, especially the ending. I also really liked how they had modified the ending to the "myth" of the story (the title).
This edition of "Butterfly Lovers" by Mei Ah Entertainment has 4 subtitle obtions: Traditional Cantonese, traditional Mandarin, simplified Mandarin and English. The English subtitles are really good.
The audio is either Cantonese or Mandarin. As I watched it, I found that with the Cantonese audio it was Charlene Choi's own voice but definitely not Wu Chun's own voice and therefore it was dubbed by someone else. And with the Mandarin audio it was definitely Wu Chun's own voice but I don't think it was Charlene Choi's own. I cannot say for certain.
It's an all region DVD (according to the cover).

January 21, 2011 Has English subtitles!About the Malaysia version:
Even though it is not stated on the cover of the Malaysian version of "It Started With A Kiss" from Speedy Video, the DVD has English subtitles! It was explained to me that it was a print mistake.
The English subtitles are good, but some times a sentence is not translated. It doesn't make the conversations non-understandable; you're still able to follow. It just confuses for a second because you're used to reading the subtitles that suddenly aren't there. But please don't let this keep you from buying it. It's a wonderful drama; one of my absolute favorites. And the English subtitles are really good.
The cover is reversed so that the front is where the back usually is (for Westerners).

January 18, 2011 Sweet K-drama with perfect English subtitlesCoffee Prince is a really sweet K-drama. I love how it is so easy going and everyday-like, though the subject of the drama is not. The actors and actresses are perfect for their characters and I love how they are not overacting their parts. I could feel the sincerity of the story. This was the first K-drama I saw, and it made me fall in love with K-drama.
About this release (Malaysian/PMP entertainment): The English subtitles are amazing. And the language used is not just sufficient English, it's perfect English. It's actually fine language they've used in their translation. The cover is reversed, so the front is where the back normally is (for Westerners). It's a little wider than a normal DVD cover. But none of this matters, it just confuses;).
