The story listed here is so much different from what I have seen. In-Seo (Kim Min Jong) definitely did not get any terminal disease in the version I watched. And this is definitely NOT a BIG TRAGEDY. When writing a review, we could either like it or hate it, but please do not mislead it…especially it is so called a professional review.
電影雙周刊—Home Entertainment DVD has put his concentration on filming technologies and sound effect, but lost concentration on the story itself. Since this is a PROFESSIONAL REVIEW, I would suggest YesAsia to be more prudent while choosing articles as a reference.
I read some articles about the making of this movie. This movie is filmed by High Definition Digital Camera. The image is clear and sharp, but may lack of depth and nuances. For an ordinary moviegoer, we probably won’t feel the visual difference, especially when we concentrate on the story and enjoy the performance of these good actors and actress. I actually was very much impressed with the poetic sceneries through the movie trailer. And that is one of the reason I’d waited for this movie since last September and very happy to get it two weeks ago. This movie did not fail me. It is a beautiful movie.

I want to give the whole crew a good applause from the bottom of my heart. The four leading roles had done a great job as each one of them had been designated. I started this drama without knowing any of these actors and actresses. But at the end of this drama, I really wanted to know who they are and what other works they have.
Honestly, the story itself is rather too simple minded and not realistic in many aspects. I couldnt imagine any father, for any reason, would treat his own daughter as an orphan for that many years. And how could any woman in this world recognize someone as their daughter in such a careless manner. But all these weak plots seem not that bothered when ChoYoungMin (Kim Min Jong) started to express his affections to Lee Xi Zhong (Kim Ha Nau)... Kim Min Jong is fascinating .He definitely is the soul character of this drama. With his refined performing skills, Kim Min Jong has brought the nuance of this role to its climax. He perfectly depicted the tender affection out of a man with a cold appearance. Kim Ha Nau played as a restrained young fashion designer. She is sweet and gentle. The two leads make a very competitive couple who comfort our feelings.
What strongly backed up these characters are the fine lines in the screenplay. I was touched by those simple yet absolutely sentimental expressions that CYM and LXZ exchanged to each other. This drama delivers romantic feelings in a very common way. It is worth to own a copy of this drama. One who watched it once, definitely want to watch it again and again.

January 26, 2006 A love story will touch your heartBeautiful script, splendid sceneries, graceful music and good casts make <Windmill Palm Grove> a piece of literary and artistic work. Three relations out of three generations are all well presented during the 107 minutes show time.
In-Seo is a very promising young lawyer from Seoul. He came to Geojae island as a patent counselor of a shipbuilding manufacture and stayed there for a year. Hwa-Yeon is a young woman welder who works in the shipyard. In-Seo and Hwa-Yeon have been attracted to each other almost at their first sight. Their social status is so different . acompany with the love story of Hwa-Yeons mother and grandmother, <Windmill Palm Grove> is a love story which touches peoples heart.
The story starts with In-Seos trip to Gangneung National University for a special lecture. It was cold and misty. In-Seo sank into his reminiscence on the bus ride towards Gangneung. The freeway uproar fades away when In-Seo starts his narration. I have to say that KimMinJongs voice provide a very sentimental touch to this scene. It caught the audiences emotion immediately. KimYouMis disposition fits Haw-Yeons character perfectly. This is a must see for love story lovers.
