mildly scary, but fun Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
this movie, while not the scariest, nor graphic, in comparison with other modern movies, is still an enjoyable movie. the seemingly low budget for this movie adds to the gritty feel. the viewer can pretty much figure out the secret of the village, but the suspense element, and the empathy for the sister throughout the movie (especialy at the end) is what maks this movie work.

Not scary at all! Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
Personally, in terms of horror, this movie gets 0, because it doesn't have any scary qualities whatsoever! It was quite boring most of the time, I mean, what's so scary about a scarecrow? At the end, it turns into a ghost girl, so what? The ghost wasn't even scary looking! She looks like a normal girl, and the actress who played that ghost is actually very pretty.
However, I gave this an overall rating of 4 purely because of the storyline; it's quite different and touching at the same time. But in terms of horror, this is nothing.

Ignore the other two reviews! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Don't buy this if you are expecting anything like Ringu. This is a slower paced, suspenseful movie that actually has a lot going for it. It has some great cinematography and the story is actually very good.

It's in a different league to other Japanese horror/ghost films. It is more of a mystery. The director of this film also directed Ring 0 too. I really enjoyed this film. A very rewarding film to those who watch closely!!

Junji Ito's "Kakashi" Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
I don't know why this movie is so not like Junji Ito's other horror movies... I actually read the manga version of the "Kakashi" it's way better than what they put out on the big screen. Although the movie did follow the main story line of the kakashi, however the important details of this story was never been delievered in this movie. That's why this movie has so many holes that makes people confused and not scary at all. For all you horror flicks, here if my suggestion... Go read the manga and don't watch this poorly made movie.

only if you're bored blind and deaf Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
omg this movie was so lame. boring boring boring, and the scarecrow thing reminded me of children of the corn or an old tales from the crypt episode or something. wasn't scary at all. i don't even know what was going on because it was so boring i didn't even pay attention. the ending was a suprise but may as well be because they were all messed up. blah
