pine tree is a great album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
managed to get a copy of this album and it is great! thanks to one of my korean friends who helped me to buy this cd. for it has been sold out everywhere else. this album is absolutely wonderful. it contains some very jazzy songs. i like both the medium-tempo songs and slow songs. the tracks i like the most: One Snowy Day, Happy Happy, Propose, Memories, The Best, Flower, and Nocturne. aiyo! this is a great, great album! i love it very much! Kang Ta's voice is SO SOOTHING! Kang Ta truly knows how to sing. Kang Ta is the best singer. Kang Ta is the reason why i want to learn more Korean and Korean culture. Kang Ta is the best!

Relaxing PINE TREE rivets more than POLARIS Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ta’s music writing is as enthralling as his voice, and from this album since POLARIS, it seems that his creative instances in his next romantic ballad would simply entice the KPOP listener and non-KPOP listener alike. It would simply be acquiesced from his next album, PINE TREE. Combining the Korean fascination with the seasons, this makes one of his greatest opuses.
The album starts off with a relaxing Piano piece straight out from SUMMER, an interlude to his “spring?music. Bubbly HAPPY, HAPPY’s jazz elements make the main man dance and covet with the sounds of the guy’s great voice. MEMORIES would make you then cry with it’s sentimental lyrics and strong, mushy flavor to what a guy would feel when the girl he loved would go away and never ever remember their happiest memories, along with it’s impressive band ensemble. PROPOSE takes a leap from sad memories and makes you again dance with Kang Ta’s RnB, a happy rendition from his songs.
SUMMER comes next. A relative mixture of guitars would signify the acoustic element of the interlude. CONFESSION fires up another acoustic flavor on the song, one perfect serenade to a girl. THE BEST relatively copes up your adrenaline energies and focus it on where Kang Ta was from- H.O.T with this dance-y track.
AUTUMN soothes your soul with the AUTMN-y violin rendition of the season. MEMORIES 2 perks up on what was left of MEMORIES, but more relieving and less sentimental and less sadder, bringing forth an air of chance with its great ensemble. FLOWER resembles a pop track that’s auspiciously boyband-esque flavor and the happiest in this side of the season. 2032 is a weird track with an interlude of the song straight out from the MEMORIES MV, but more likely; it is a song of parting- wonder why Kang Ta relates Cuba with this Jazzy track.
Winter’s pianos cope with the air of cold that’s seen in the white of the snow- remembers me of Winter Sonata. NOCTURNE is a powerful piece of composition with great piano playing again in the background, more likely, a heave of fresh breath from where your rudiments are. ONE SNOWING DAY takes the hell out of Michael Buble’s KISSING A FOOL and in turn, puts it in Kang Ta’s winter with this soothing ballad as enticing as the last one.
PINE TREE is probably the greatest song here, not that it’s the carrier song than MEMORIES, but mainly because it preludes to what the singer provokes of the lonely lovelorn soul- to strive harder, and to withstand everything on the way, just to find the woman you love. He takes all the elements of his ballads and then, invokes you with this triumphant but sad and wandering piece of composition, the nicest way to end an album.
PINE TREE is his nicest album yet, and as he dawns near to another group related venture, I hope Kang Ta’s great S venture wouldn’t be like that of his H.O.T.

Well Done! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
When I ordered this CD I expected it to be as good as his first one, but I never thought it would be better! Kang Ta has really out done himself once again proving how incredibly talented he is and how he has become a well seasoned performer. I love the way this CD flows. You can feel the emotion Kang Ta evokes in every song. From the lighthearted 'Happy Happy' and 'Flower' to the sweetness of 'Propose', you can feel the enjoyment of the music. The soft melodies of 'Memories', 'Memories#2', and 'One Snowing Day' make you feel as if you want to lean back and reminisce yourself. His amazing range and incredible style continue to impress me. It is really hard to find any fault with this album. If you are looking for something that sounds exactly like H.O.T. though this is not the album to choose from. The jazz and R&B in the album are very different from the H.O.T. sound. Still, I would give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. '2032 In Cuba' is probably my least favorite song since the beat is a bit unusual for what I usually like, but saying that I still love the song. 'THE BEST' is a song with fabulous beat and one that a true blue H.O.T. fan should love! 'Confession' flows beautifully after 'Summer' and the acoustics fit the song perfectly. 'Nocturne' really shows how his voice has developed throughout the years. It is a perfect compliment to his style, voice, and talent. This is a complicated song, but he sings it with such ease that it amazes me!
Of course I saved my favorite for last. 'Pine Tree' has all of the elements that make this song perfect. The instrumentals are gorgeous and I love the arrangement. It is full of emotion and drama. The harmonies are smooth and well placed. Again his range is incredible and the moments of a capella are to die for! This CD is a must have for your collection. It is my very favorite and my only regret is that I don't speak Korean and it is such a beautiful language. I may not understand the words, but Kang Ta shows so much emotion that you can't help enjoy the music. I recommend this to anyone!!!
