Best Album From KARA
|
When you hear about KARA what do you think of? No doubt, it's their famous butt dance song, mister that is not only very popular in Korea but in Japan as well! This album is their best album up to date, so for new KARA fans or casual listeners, this is the album to get. The best songs from this albums would probably be Wanna, Mister & Let It Go, but all of songs of this albums are very well made! Price wise, not only is it very affordable, the picture quality in this album is very good as well! My overall rating? Definitely 5/5 stars. |

Hey Mr. ♡
|
The album was OK. I think the best tracks from this album is the 2 promotional singles 'Mr.' and 'Wanna'. Since everyone here must've already listened to them for like thousands time, I wouldn't say much about 'Mr.' and 'Wanna', but the rest tracks, in my opinion, aren't really outstanding either. I don't think KARA can sing ballads well, and '마법' is an example. '몰래몰래' had nice melody, it was sweet but I don't think KARA can go well without autotuned bubblegum pop songs. 'Let It Go' isn't unique either. To me, even if they try, KARA just can't be cool, can't actually do rock, so the song just sounds awkward. 'Take A Bow' and 'AHA' were just too crazily cutesy *____*. I know it's their concept, but I'd expect more from a full album. '똑 같은 맘' was much better, it was cute but not too much and I can at least feel some brightfulness and energy from the song. So overall, I think this album was OK, but still, only 8 songs and 2 inst for a full album? I was kinda disappointed. And in my opinion, only 2 tracks were really good and they're 'Mr.' and '몰래몰래'. Anyway, I think they should be more creaitve with the CD packaging. I personally have seen this kind of packaging a lot and I'd hope there'd be something new and they let me down. And I can never agree with KARA's stylists. Otherwise the back theme looks cool, it's pretty fresh and chic. The girls' expressions were less stiff, but overall, they didn't make a great booklet. I wasn't totally satisfied, but well, at least the album is exceptable. |

This CD was well priced and amazing. The first KARA item I have ever bought, after hearing only two songs by them. I have grown to love KARA and am a proud kamilia because of this CD. The song Magic is a really sweet melody(lol if you get this) and very relaxing. Listening to the instrumental of Magic puts me to sleep because it's so nice. Secretly, Secretly reminds me of old KARA a bit but still has that new KARA sound. AHA is a great track because of their soft voices, Let It Go, Take A Bow, and Wanna are awesome dance tracks, and Mister is always a favorite. Same Mind is very fun to sing along to and I love it. Every song on this CD is great and I highly recommend it. |

Until mini Album "Revolution", Kara didn't caught me... But now, I love them ! This album is one of the best comeback of the year ! This begins with "미스터" and "Wanna", 2 tracks performed by the girls during this last months.. Catchy, addictive, great sound.. Even if I'm not a Kamilia, Kara has made an incredible comeback ! Followings songs are "마법" and "몰래몰래".. Not my favorite songs but they still a pleasure to listen them ! "Let it Go" is one of my favorite songs by Kara ! Fatal, catchy.. As I've intituled my review, I absolutely love this song !! <3 "Take A Bow" is a funky song.. Hum.. don't know why, but this reminds me Wonder Girls..^^ "Aha" is one of my favorite song of Kara too ! The chorus "Ahahahahah Baby Baby Call Me" is irresistible ! You're forced to song with the girls when you listen it !! :D "똑 같은 맘" is a good surprise too ! Funny and catchy too, chorus is irresistible too ! This mini-album ended with 2 instrumentals, "wanna" and "마법".. Wanna's Intrumental is absolutely LOVE ! Kara's songs are simple and basic, but it's a good result ! Happy to buy my mini-album ! So, buy, buy ! All love for Kara from France ! |

Kara rev up good glam 80s K-pop

No doubt Kara’s “Revolution” as that 80’s melodic synth pop disco feel alongside pleasant modern Korean dance R&B pop sensibilities. “Wanna” is a powerful electro dance song similar to some of B.E.G. and After School songs. Others like “Let It Go” and “Take a Bow” are also very highly techno rhythmic! Very upbeat album this. Certain songs could have kept more to the Wanna-Revolution sound. But like BEG’s “Sound G”, this also slips into generic pop formula. But its good, funky and Kara are a nice bunch of gals (as are BEG et al). I found opener “Mister” a more generic pop ditty. But “Revolution” comes to life with “Wanna”, certainly the ‘hit’ with surging powerful electro beats and bright and groovy melody and vocals. T3 is a slower ballad with sythn drum and bass. Another nice song that flows well but lacks bite somehow. T4 is a modern K-TV drama type song with pleasant vocals and bass-beat electronics. “Let It Go” is the second main thumbs up track reflecting “Revolution”. A bit of Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love”, Wonder Girls/After School. Definitely the complementing track to “Wanna” (its ‘B’ side). “Take a Bow”, “Aha” and T8 finalize with three 80s styled upbeat disco synth bubblegum pop, with very catchy refrains and wonderfully bright and bouncy melodies. Finally, instrumental versions of “Wanna” (which could be a great sci-fi film theme) and T3. If you have the Revolution Pretty in Pink LE but could pass on this version, I’ll mention that this is a nice chunky booklet digi pack edition, very like GG’s ‘Gee Genie’ latest - plenty of Kara photos. A better Kara image here, too. A revolved and a moderate version of their dazzling primary colors “Pretty Girl” look and far more appropriate. Not too blingy party bubblegum and not too staid and conservative. Kara are meant to be a fun pop outfit though. It’d be nice to hear Kara members write personal lyrics on the next album. Heard about that ghost hand on inkygayo recently. Kara - you should write the “Helping Hand” song or perform a cover of R. Dean Taylor’s “There’s a Ghost in My House”. ^.^ Ghost? Probably some quantum mechanics hiccup! Anyway, a very good upbeat 80s disco-synth pop album here with so much dance its Kara’s ‘move’ album for sure. It caters for song expectations with only some generic and slightly weaker songs to stop “Revolution” from being excellent. “Wanna” and “Let It Go” are techno dance, with the last 3 songs capturing that great 80s spirit of teen bubblegum pop. |

What can i say?? I loved the cover .. It's simple but classy ;] This is the perfect comeback, Their track " Wanna " as they call it " The brain washing song " is the first song on kpop chart. " Hey mister " is fourth and is getting higher, Honestly? I believe KARA had their comeback done in the right time. Thats how its supposed to be, To see which girl group is better than the other. I was completely blown away, All the tracks are really good, I'm not saying this cuz im a nutty biased KARA fangirl, This album is extremely good. And they look so gorgeous in the pictures.. Any person seeing how good they improved and how good their songs are, Have no choice.. But to give in.. And become .. Another nutty biased fangirl/guy. This trend has a bit of everything, It has the trend of KARA4, 2NE1 and Afterschool. They are recieving so much love and atttention just by those two hit songs. Here's a little tip .. Seriously.. Get this album.. Before it gets cleaned out .. 5000 copies .. FOR THE WHOLE WORLD !! Thats little .. So .. Buy buy buy buy >-< |

Talkin' bout A Revolution
Talkin' bout A Revolution

"Revolution" is a slight departure from the candy-coated music Kara first established with their 1st mini-album "Rock U". It is musically still in the same vein of their past hit's "Pretty Girl", "Rock U", & "Honey". However, the tracks on "Revolution" aren't as childish & sugary as their last 2 mini-albums. The bar of maturity has slightly arisen with this release. "Magic", "Wanna", & "Let It Go" are three tracks on "Revolution" that gives the listener a taste of Kara opting for a less youthful direction in their music. However, the cute factor that fans adore in Kara's music is prevalent in the entire album. Kara still sings in their high, cute, shrill voices that they have adopted since "Rock U". "Wanna", the title track, is a fitting song that musically represents "Revolution": the music is more mature, however their voices and simple lyrics is the same Kara that fans have familiarized themselves with from past releases. The majority of the tracks felt either mediocre, bland, or forgettable. It makes the listener wish that DSP (Kara's company) acquired different producers and composers to make more memorable, catchy tracks. The Special Edition of "Revolution" comes with a photo book & DVD. The photo book, which is about as wide and long and a school notebook, is actually the holder of the CD & DVD. The CD & DVD is held by 2 slits on the right hand side when you first open the book. The lyrics are at the end of the photo's. The photo's in the photo book are printed on high quality paper. However, like the majority of Korean CD's, the booklet itself is of cheap quality; the photo book is glued to the booklet on the right side. Yet, I do recommend the Special Edition for the photo book & DVD. If you are lucky to know Korean, you will be treated to a nice "making of" Documentary for the shooting of the photo book. The photo's in the photo book are nice as well. |

To be honest, I liked KARA for their tv personalities and found Rock U badly composed and Pretty Girl ok minus the horrible English. However I really liked Honey and now with this album I see no mistakes that mirror Rock U and Pretty! With the rush of girl group debuts and comebacks I see that Kara has stepped up their game trying out different genres and a mature image that is still Kara. There isn't one song I haven't liked and I recommend this to everyone. Kara's true potential shines through the tracks of this album. I'm glad I purchased this album. |

To be honest, I'm was getting a little flustered with all the girl groups debuting and coming back during 2009. After listening to Kara's new album, I wish they came out later this year. The songs on the album consist of 10 fabulous tracks that are mainly dance themed. The track "Mister", "Wanna", and "Aha" are my personal favorite from the album. If they (Kara) came out later this year, the album sales and charts would have belonged to Kara. Do yourself a favor and don't let this terrific album become lost in the storm of other girl group's album. Buy. Buy. Buy. |
