１９７０年代初頭。祖母と母が営む豆腐工場で仲良く育った２人の兄弟がいた。長男ソクチンは名門大学に通い弁護士を目指していた。一方、弟チョルチンは兄を大学にいれるために中学で勉強を放棄した。そんな２人は、別々の場所で同じ女性＝ミンジュを好きになってしまうのだった。娼婦の母に捨てられたミンジュは日中はニセ大学生、夜はイテウォンのパダとしての二重生活を送っていた。ミンジュはソクチンのことを金持ちの息子だと思い込んで近づき、ソクチンは彼女のことを好きになる。そんななか、街でパダと知り会ったチョルチンは一方的に好意を寄せる。兄弟たちは、お互いの恋を応援し、励ましあうのだが…。
