Salaryman Taku (Miyake Yuji) is just an everyday joe who toils day in and day out to bring home the bacon. All he asks in return is that his wife (Maya Kyoko) and two daughters always come home for dinner. That's not too much to ask, is it? After all, the family that eats together, stays together. When his second daughter Shiori (Fujisawa Ema) starts skipping out on family meals to be with her band and boyfriend, Taku isn't about to just sit around and let his domestic tranquility crumble.

Director Sasabe Kiyoshi follows his acclaimed dramas Sea Without Exit and Yunagi no Machi Sakura no Kuni with a lighter offering, the family drama Kekkon Shiyo Yo. Backdropped by the songs of 70s folk singer Yoshida Takuro, the film delves into the life of the typical middle-aged man dealing with the usual headaches of work, family, and pride as he tries to keep his busy daughters close to home. Miyake Yuji (When the Last Sword is Drawn) stars as father dearest, with Maya Kyoko (Snowy Love Fall In Spring), Fujisawa Ema from Lovely Complex, and Ayako from the Nakanomori Band rounding out the family.
