It was belief in music that led Korean-American hip-hop artist Kero One to start his own label and release his first single in 2003. Since then, Kero One has become one of the most followed indie hip-hop acts in America and abroad. The do-all artist's sophomore album Early Believers is again an outstanding production ranging from jazz-influenced hip-hop numbers to synth party tracks. The Korea Version of Early Believers comes with 13 tracks, including the singles When the Sunshine Comes, Keep Pushin', and Let's Be Friends, and features popular Korean hip-hop acts Epik High and Dynamic Duo.

- 에픽하이, 다이나믹듀오, MYK 등과 손잡고 2집 [Early Believers]를 발표한다.
낮에는 평범한 웹디자이너 마이크 김으로, 밤에는 뮤지션 케로원으로 변신하여 자신만의 음악세계를 추구하던 그는 2003년 달랑 홈 레코딩 기기 하나와 신용카드 한 장으로 본인 소유 레이블인 Plug Label 아래 그의 첫 12" 싱글을 탄생시킨다.
2005년에는 그의 첫 앨범 [Windmills of the Soul]을 완성시킨다. 소위 영향력있는 레코드 레이블이나 업계 관계자의 후원 하나 없이 래핑, 연주, 사운드 기술은 물론 프로모션, 마케팅, 제작, 자금조달, 아트디렉팅에 웹디자인까지도 직접 맡았으며 심지어는 업계에서 알아준다는 유행의 선구자들을 직접 찾아다니며 그의 음악을 알리기 시작했다. 고생 끝에 낙이 온다고 했던가. 2006년 풀타임 뮤지션의 길을 걷게 된 케로원은 Remix Magazine ‘베스트 힙합 앨범 2006년’ 선정, iTunes 힙합차트 상위권 등극, Black Eyed Peas의 Will.I.Am과 Urb Magazine 등의 잡지사들로부터의 극찬 세례까지 받게 된다. 또한, 그의 전세계 투어는 두 번의 일본 재공연을 포함, 유럽, 호주, 한국, 타이완, 필리핀, 캐나다, 미국 등에서 계속 이어졌고 그의 미국 공연에는 KRS-1, EPMD, DJ Kentaro 등의 우정출연도 펼쳐졌다. 틈틈히 Talib Kweli, 다이나믹듀오, 디제이 페니(DJ Pe2ny) 등과의 공동 작업에도 힘을 기울였다.
