Best-ever swordfighting movie
This is the best-ever of the Shaw Brothers' series of sword-play movies of the 1960s-1970s. You will enjoy the various plot twists, and the acting generates the right amount of tension. |

Waitting too long....!
I've seen this movie 25 years ago in Taiwan and I am very happy that all Show Brothers movies will be re-released for the frist time in DVD and VCD. I have been waitting to see all those old movies I used to like for a very long time and now the time has come. Don't missed it. |

Good news
You ought to buy a projector for Christmas, this movie (dvd) gonna light up your screen. Color, costumes and decorations are beautiful, it's rare for HK productions. This movie was restored, it offers us a better visual comfort and the original soundtrack was also remastered, each channel (Mandarin audio 5.1)works correctly. Naturally, we are not able to compare with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Superbit dvd because it's extremely high standard. Now I'm expecting more releases of Shaw Bros Epic with best quality transfer. Many thanks for all the crew has worked on it ! |

Full of Intrigue
3 Swordfighting films started this genre from HK in different times. King Hu's "Come Drink with Me"(60s) Chu Yuan's "Killer Clans(70s) Brigitte Lin's "Dong Fung Pu Bai"(90s") Those of you who has not read the novel will find this film very enjoyable, great casts and full of twists and surprises. During the mid 70s when swordfighting films are no longer popular, director Chu Yuan revived the whole swordfighting genre with this gem. Honestly very very few Shaw Bros films are really good and mostly are outdated seen today, unless you want to go for the stars but Chua Yuan's first few films based on Ku Lung novels will still be enjoyable watched today. |
