So-so..
To S: KBS is a great singer but he has to be supported by great song writers too, so he can show us how great he is. S, I think we have same sense of music because my fave's tracks are 2,5,10. Track 3 sounds ok to me. In my opinion, his 4th album is still his best album. But I'm still his big fan. By the way, S, please read my comment to your recommendation of japanese(?) group, Exile. See you there.. |

What Do I Say About My Favorite Singer?
To id: My CD finally came after a longer than usual wait. Kim Bum Soo is still my favorite singer, so not to worry! :) There aren't any earth shattering tracks here. What you get is Kim Bum Soo's great vocals and singing skills as usual. His music genre has diversified into: r&b with hip-hops (Track 8) and electronic dance (Track 9) which I like, a little country in Track 12 (3 stars for his vocal), a motivational or gospel singing ? (Track 13) with children chorus and sadly a really heavy r&B gospel (Track 14) that I think shouldn't be in the CD. Also, Track 4 doesn't sound like him at all and I don't like it a bit. So, after all this criticism, my favorite tracks are: 2, 5 to 11 and Smile Again is a 4 stars track. I want to mention that Track 5 starts off beautifully and the music composition begins to deteriorate at the last third and begins to recover approaching the end. Kim Bum Soo's vocal is really great even though the music in Track 7 is not particularly that good, once again showing what a great singer he is. In Track 10, great vocals of Kim Bum Soo is showing when he hits his notes with precision and skills. He is not overbearing either. Track 11 is kind of jazzy. So, get this CD if you're Kim Bum Soo's fan and a music lover who appreciates fine singing from a great singer! |

Great Vocals by Kim Bum Soo
I became a fan of Kim Bum Soo when i first heard him sing "A Song Of Sorrow" on the Damo OST. From then on on i was a fan of his. So you can imagine how excited i was when i heard he was coming out with a new album. He has a very sweet, soothing and strong voice! I would say in this album, he explored alot of different genres and not just ballad and R&B. You've a little country, electronica and mabbe pop..This album is a very "colourful" album which is what i would like to call it. Overall, great job by Kim Bum Soo. i feel this artist is so under-rated. I really hope more people will discover this wonderful talent! Buy it! You won't regret it! |
