Theres hope for music yet!

Kim Dong Ryul does it again with "coming home" a must have for any Kim Dong Ryul fan or just simply a music lover! His music reflects not only his love of variety of music but also his obviously extensive and solid education in music. I sang the first track on this album at my brothers wedding not because im a great singer but because the song itself moved me so much. Not only does Mr.Kim have amazing vocals (best male vocalist active in korea in my humble opinion) but the score is masterfully written and the lyrics are truely poetic. Displaying such diverse taste and knowledge, Kim Dong Ryul uses latin strings and beats as well as some impressive operatic vocals in two very powerful songs (5,6) lets not forget track7 a tremendously catchy jazz tune. Kudos for Kim Dong Ryul for not losing his integrity in this tough business by yet again putting out an album thats so rich in culture and well... MUSIC! if you're patient, you will find the hidden track which is a pleasant surprise. You will notice also that he only collaborated with musician that are on par with his level of talent and understanding of music. Masterful and brilliant, this album is truely a job well done. |

Kim Dong Ryul is amongst the few musicians today with substance to his music and expression. Not just another sing and dance act we get bored with after a nite at a club. |
