推理小説家志望の森田さくら（貫地谷しほり）は、抜群の記憶力と「刑事コロンボ」のような推理力を持つ一風変わった女の子。お坊ちゃま新米刑事の宇田川教生（要潤）と出会い、アルバイトの推理屋としてコンビを組むことになる。さくらは持ち前の推理力で事件を捜査し、宇田川を事件の真相へと導くが、肝心の宇田川が極度の恋愛体質で、毎回容疑者の女性に恋心を抱いてしまう。これが仇となり、勝手な思い込みから別の犯人像を推理。単純に見えていた事件を複雑なものするなど、捜査をかく乱させるが、今まで見えてこなかった、意外な真相が浮かび上がってきて……。
