Funny from begining to end Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
"King of Comedy" is a funny movie that will keep you laughing from the beginning to the end. Stephen Chow plays a struggling actor who falls in love with a club hostess, name PuiPui (Cecilia Cheung). This is the first acting debut of Cecilia Cheung and she lights up the screen with her innocent sweet looks. Karen Mok plays a famous action movie actress, who falls in love with Stephen Chow, but gets frustrated when she finds out that he already has a girlfriend (PuiPui). Richard Ng is also in this movie and he is very funny too.

Something Different From Stephen Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This Film Is Very Different From Stephen's Usually Type Of Film Many Associate Him With. We See Stephen Playing An Actor Who Never Gets The Big Roles He Feels He Can Get, And Ends Up Doing The Extras Role In Films. Comedy Is Still There And I Found It Very Amusing When Stephens Teaches People How They Should Act Despite Himself Not Being A Big Star. Cecilia Made Her Debut In This Film I Believe And Thought She Was Entertaining Especially Taking Lessons From Stephen. This Film Is Not The Usual SC Film But Still A Film Worth Having. Highly Recommended!

This movie is ok I watched the chinese version. I didn't like that Ceilia was a hostess, but she was really cute and made me laugh alot. the movie is worth renting but I bought mines.

I had high expectations of this film, since i watched the mighty Shaolin Soccer first. This one turned out to be alright. Not many funny jokes, but a rather more emotional approach to this film.
Cecilia looked totally cute and Karen Mok looked totally cool!!!

i think this should go down as one of stephen's best 10 movies. a little bit different from what he usually does and entertaining throughout.

look out for the cameo from jackie chan !

After his mid-nineties classics (i.e. after God of Cookery) Chow made some movies that seem to have lost the spark that made his earlier work funny and interesting. This one is more of a return to form despite having an ending that seems to have nothing to do with the rest of the movie! While not one of his 'Greats' it has the the usual zany Chow scenes as well as a more mature sensitive approach to relationships and story development that are quite touching-not unlike what Chaplin did in his comedies. So not one of his best, but certainly not bad either and well worth viewing for all of Stephen's fans.

This movie is the bomb and funny as hell. I loved Cecelia in the movie bu i hated when she got beat by the guy too. Cecelia is beautiful as always and Stephen is funny as always.

i really enjoyed this movie i think it's really good...i really like Cecilia in there even she is all rough...ad i don't like that part when she got beaten by a guy in the bar...Cecilia is really cute in there and the NG is funny!!!!HA!

Although the storyline isn't all that good, the acting is brill and so is the comedy! Not one of his bestest films, but worth a watch...at least if its just once! TR
