An active philanthropist, Chui Tak-fu, tries to ask master Yim, a stick expert, to make a donation and fails. Fu then resolves to ask Yim to perform his art of stick fighting in a charity show to raise money. Yim once again declines as he claims that he has retired. Fu then decides to make Yim change his mind through another channel - Yim's daughter. So he asks Bing, a good-looking young man he meets in a restaurant, to court Yim's daughter. To his surprise, Fu's own daughter, Mei-mei, a wild and attractive girl, is also attracted to Bing and has, in fact, tried to seduce him on several occasions. Finally, Fu's scheme succeeds and Yim's daughter falls in love with Bing as expected. Fu therefore uses this to blackmail Yim to agree to perform in the charity show and Yim complies. However, in the show he fails to perform to his best and is booed by the audience. Fortunately, with help of Cheng Kam-cheung, a pop singer, a large donation is raised. Although Fu's goal has been achieved, Bing and Mei find Fu manipulative and calculating. In order to thwart him, they therefore ask two kids to steal the donation and give it to a different charitable organisation. Bing and Mei become a couple and the poor Yim girl suffers lost love once again.
