Kirite: a story for the ears!
Kirite: a story for the ears!

The result of Yasunori Mitsuda and Masato Kato collaborating can only bring good to this world, right? Kirite is the soundtrack for, get this, a story written by Kato himself. This isn't a soundtrack for a video game, folks. However, just because you are Japanese-illiterate (like I am) does not mean you can't enjoy this album. After listening to the album, any doubts I had regarding the inability to enjoy this soundtrack was completely smashed and submerged within the tidal wave of Mitsuda's compositions. It. Is. Amazing. I'm not the kind of person who can easily throw three syllable words and use sophisticated language in describing music. However, as a fan of Mitsuda (enjoying Chrono Trigger OSV, Chrono Cross OST, and Sailing to the World), I can honestly say that you are 99% gonna love this album. Not understanding any bit of the story itself, you will still find yourself swept off your feet and into the canvas of your own imagination. |
