Product Information

Now that's Woman Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
Whew, talk about strong stoicism. A Touch of Zen gives a clear picture of who is good, who is evil & when the Shaolin monks were not a force to be messed with. The story seems to feel long & drawn out so not much re-play value for me but fond memories. (watch for a very young Sammo Hung as the villians henchman) Once again I maintain that this one also doesn't come up to the standards or likeable characters of Come Drink With Me but hey it still fits in the romantic classic-classic swordplay.

The classic touch Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
A touch of Zen is one of those classic movies that you must see if you a fan of a wuxia, because it sets a certain benchmark. This movie was made back in the days when you didn't have all the flashy wires and slick CGI, but this is what makes it one of the greats. The director made use of timing, music and atmosphere. The movie starts off slow, but slowly pulls you into the story and wanting more. Just as you thought it was all over, comes part two and which is just as gripping as the first half. This movie is a great wuxia epic and deserves more recognition. Sadly, it has only been shed some light as a footnote of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and House of Flying Daggers. But then again Sir Alec Guinness will always be famous for being in Star Wars. King Wu was one of the most talented directors of his generation and one with vision.

The best chinese classic !! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is the film that inspired Lee Ang's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The bamboo fighting scene alone is worth it.

This is also the first Chinese film to win Cannes Award for Best Technique or something during the early 70s.

Just hope we get to see the other 6 o 7 classic films from this master director.
