Singer-songwriter duo Kobukuro returns with more of their earthy, relaxed folk rock numbers with their sixth album 5296, the group's first full-length album since 2005's NAMELESS WORLD. Kobukuro's songs always seem to speak to the heart, which is perhaps why they're such a popular choice for theme songs. Just in this album alone there's Kimi to Iu Na no Tsubasa (Track 6) from the 2006 TV Asahi drama Regatta ~ Forever with You, Tsubomi (Track 3) from Fuji TV's Tokyo Tower ~ Okan to Boku to, tokidoki, Oton, Aoku Yasashiku (Track 1) from the NTV drama Dream Again, and WHITE DAYS for Hasumi Eiichiro's big-budget feature Giniro no Season. Other than familiar themes, 5296 also features new songs like Koin (Track 2) and Fragile mind.
