NHK「どーもくん」の監督・絵コンテを担当した合田経郎が手がけた、5分間のストップモーション・人形アニメ「こまねこ」。渋谷シネマライズにて公開されるや大きな反響を呼び、2004年には文化庁メディア芸術祭アニメーション部門最優秀賞を獲得、2006年には長編映画も作られた。本作は、2004年2月よりシネマライズにて5分割上映されたショートバージョンの全編版を収録したファン必携のパッケージ。特典として、製作の舞台裏に迫るメイキングが収録されている。
