Helmed by Hong Kong director Bowie Lau with action choreography by Ma Yuk Sing, the inspiring dance movie wins the approval of the post-1990s audience with more jaw-dropping action sequences and dynamic dance duels. The hipster-friendly picture not only features Korea's b-boy phenomenon Gambler Crew, but also adds free running, graffiti and other groovy elements of street culture to boost its chic factor. The story of Kung Fu Hip-Hop 2 revolves around the up-and-coming street dance crew Encore and its hip-hop-savvy leader LT (Wilson Chen), who vows to win the hand of beautiful ballroom dancer Mian (Zhou Qiqi) from her Latin-dancer boyfriend Qiu (Michael Tse). Very soon, this crew is discovered by Ye, the boss of an entertainment company, who is very interested in owning ENCORE CREW. The day after ENCORE defeated their most recent challenge, LT was called upon to teach a dance lesson. Mian is a very beautiful girl, who is a professionally trained ball-room dancer, knew nothing about hip-pop. Her boyfriend asked her to find new inspiration for their new piece, which they would bring to the world championship competition. During the lesson, LT found himself 'accidentally tripped' and 'accidentally kissed' the young lady. Mian went back home. LT sent her a text message, asked her to come to observe the real hip-pop.
