it was great performance!
| sun live 2004 is awesome! Gret free jazz perforance. She works with Naruyoshi Kikuchi on this live! Her older song sound briliant with new jazz version. its a pitty that only 3 song from SUN are avible on LA! if youre true UA fan...buy it its really worh it |

| I've listened to this disc now at least 20 times. This is a really great band, especially the drum and horn arrangements. She is lucky to have such perfect collaboration. I must say this is Ua's strongest vocal performance that I have heard, by far. She just gives her all here, its very cool. I'm not terribly familiar with the Japanese titles of all her songs, but the reworked versions of a number of her earlier singles within the context of this band really highlight what great and solid songs they are. I'm much more a fan of the stuff Ua has done from Dorobou on, but some of these older songs as newly arranged here really shine. I particularly am intrigued by track 10, a long kouta jam session of what I assume is a traditional song and melody. (Okinawa? That is where Ua's mother is from,,,) I was hoping the Breathe album would be an extension of this direction. I hope she does pursue it further. This is a great taste. Ua is a musician who I feel deserves much more attention outside of Japan. |

Excellent live Performance
| UA!! One of the best vocal performance female artist in Japan. Her soulful powerful voice and freestyle swaying the whole tours. She has an irresistable style to catch your ear to listen to her when it comes to a live show. Songs like: Sonna Sora niha toruma, houdo, and toru Tori to Kinno Ame, is just beautiful when they come to live, I personally shocked by the song kumo ga chigireru toki. She replaced the arrangements with trumpet and horns... it's really amazing! Overall, this is just a brilliant live album I've heard in 2005. I hope she'll have more performance coming up.. Kambade UA san! |
