１０年前、高校生のハ・ドヤ（クォン・サンウ）は、アナウンサーの面接に行くソ・ヘリム（コ・ヒョンジョン）を助ける。ドヤは不良だったが、父親が権力者に辱められたことから奮起、またヘリムのためにも頼もしい男になろうと検事を目指す。一方ヘリムはアナウンサーになるが、夫がテロリストに拉致され帰らぬ人となったときの、国民に対しての国の無力さ・非情さに失望。放送局に対抗したため解雇され、故郷に戻る。ドヤは努力の末、検事になったが、“熱血”があだとなり地方へ左遷され、そこでヘリムと再会を果たす。ひょんなんことから縁が続く二人だったが、ドヤの熱い思いに支えられ、いつしかヘリムは韓国初の女性大統領を目指すことになる。

After his last two failure dramas, namely bad love and cinderella man, Kwon Sang Woo finally made this better drama, thanks to Ko Hyun Jung who is excellent in acting as South Korea's president. The supporting cast are all pleasant. There are a few interesting political issues, but absolutely not workable in real life of course. Best epistles when Do Ya's father died..his love for his son is so brilliantly illustrated. However, the ending was a little dull.
