Popular J-rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel celebrated their 15th anniversary last year. Formed in 1991, the band has gone through its share of rough patches and personnel changes in the last 15 years, but is today considered one of the most iconic names in contemporary J-rock, having sold over 15 million albums and 30 million singles. The band's musical journey brought them to the Tokyo Dome on November 25 and 26, 2006 for their 15th L'Anniversary Live concerts.

L'Arc-en-Ciel ~ 15th L'Anniversary Live records the band's November 25 concert over two DVDs, coming to 191 minutes of L'Arc-en-Ciel video footage. Prior to the concert, the band held an internet poll on their official site for fans to select songs they wanted to hear, so the track list is packed with L'Arc-en-Ciel favorites like The Fourth Avenue Cafe, NEO UNIVERSE, Metropolis, Dune, and Voice. There are also five special tracks on this DVD release including I'm in pain, a never-before-released single from the band's indie days, and their not-yet-released new song Bye Bye.

This concert is just an awesome reminder of why we all love L'Arc~en~ciel (means rainbow in French). Performing hits all the way from the 90's till the present time (2006), this is another one of L'Arc~en~ciel's concerts at their best.

They performed a lot of songs they'd stopped performing and it was awesome to hear them once again. Old concerts of theirs are hard to find nowadays and being able to hear it with our current musical technology along with HYDE's matured voice is a treat. HYDE's vocals were at their best and you could actually see some of the happiness on his face at how large of a crowd they had this time around. He even jumps off stage and touches the crowd... and that's really saying something. ^^ Instead of the usual stage charisma, we get to see some of his playful side.

I highly recommend this if you are a new fan of L'Arc~en~ciel and want to experience their past works. Watching this actually makes me want to but all of their past albums that I don't have. ^^()

This concert lives up to its title...A L'Anniversary that'll never be forgotten. ^^

Answer to Porsche Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Porsche: This might be kind of a late answer and it only gives you an extra piece of info I hope. I bought this Hong Kong version several months ago and only watched it last week. It is an absolute bargain! The package comes with some postcards. I can't compare them to the Japanese version because I don't have it. As for any CDs or DVDs in general, sometimes there are subtle differences if you can pick up the sounds of various instruments or sharpness of images. I think other reviewers who are sound experts can provide better answers on CD qualities. I've never paid for any Japanese CDs or DVDs because of the much higher prices, until I read from a popular reviewer that there are differences among the versions from different countries. I don't know if the Japanese versions are so much better than others. Sometimes there might not be any difference at all. I think the important thing is to go for a reputable publisher in any country. Get the Japanese versions if you can afford them, and if the other versions are much inferior for your enjoyment. As for this concert, the Hong Kong version is worth every single penny even though it doesn't have any English subtitles or captions. The publishing company might even has the concert truncated a little at the beginning of each performance. It doesn't matter. Thanks to all the previous reviewers for recommending it!

 Question on the Korean version Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Well I havent bought this yet but I am planning on buying it.But i just have a question. I was wondering if there is a difference between the japan version and the korean version i usually buy the japan version of their cd's because i feel that i will miss some special packaging or cards that come with the japan version in the Korean version is everything in korean? and do you still get the special postcards.Or is it exactly the same as the japan version with the exception that it says (korean version)because I really want this but I dont really want to pay 73 dollars for it i would really appreciate it if someone would write a reply back to me soon.Because I want to get this sometime next week or sooner.

This concert is amazing! We get to see L'Arc perform many songs that we haven't seen live for a long time, along with costumes reminiscent of those days. Yukihiro and Ken also get brought birthday cakes. This is a must no tmiss concert, you will not be disappointed!

this dvd is super, uber worth it! you get 15 years worth of performances from LÁrc in this live concert that I wish I was there! from the package, to the free postcards and to the dvd, all of it was excellent! a must buy!
