1 + 5 equals...a #1 HIT

Last Angel seems to me an unusual song for Koda Kumi, it`s really more typical of Tohoshinki`s style. Having said that, both parties do a splendid job with this number, and if you`re not yet hooked on any of them, you will be after listening to and watching this! Koda Kumi sings really well here and as for the guys of Tohoshinki - let me just say she could not have picked better partners. This was the song that got me hooked on Tohoshinki and it`s still one of my favourite songs. The whole Kingdom album is a blast. Check out Koda`s Black Cherry Tour DVD as well, the guys are on it! And she is on their T Tour DVD! Both are fantastic. My two favourite acts! |

Awesome! (Just got mine)
|
I just got mine today. Yes, I know I'm late, but I had to wait for the money to come in and to get my regionless DVD player (this DVD is Region 3). Anywayz, I ordered this version for the cheaper price and I'm quite happy with it. The music is great (of course, cuz it's Tohoshinki ^^, lol) and I really bought this to have the MV on disc. This is one of my favorite MVs. Also, it comes with a lyrics sheet that's a really a poster of Koda Kumi on the back. I'd say that this single is well worth the money. |

I enjoyed this single although it's really addicting. DBSK does not lack talent but they were just a tiny bit screechy just for a couple of bars. I haven't seen the DVD yet but I can imagine it's as awesome. ;) dear family is a really sweet ballad and you can tell that there's a lot of emotion on it. Good job, Koda Kumi! Her voice is really soft for it and really nice -- so at least she's not flat or sharp on it. |

first of all, i'm very surprise that Kuu's song feat. DBSK & i found this song is very good, i like it very much..amazing...but one thing, i cannot accept that got somebody saying DBSK cannot sing. they are an excellent group that i never meet before. they really can sing in live with their excellent voice. try to think with your brain, if they cannot sing, how can they be so famous in Asia, how can they get into top place in oricon.. please la, listen to their song first before saying all this stupid things..ok??? |

Once again, Koda Kumi releases a great single. Her collaboration with THSK went very well, I believe. Personally, I had never heard of Tohoshinki before this collaboration and I must say that they did a very good job. Kuu's voice sounds amazing as always and their voices mix really well in this single. LAST ANGEL is a very addicting song with it's groove mix (the type of music is sounds to me) and the PV is wonderful with the all white attire and scenery. The dancing is great and it's a safe bet that this song will be stuck in your head for ages. Then with the B-side Dear Family (which is a solo), the way it sounds, it sounds like a lot of her earlier work from when she debuted. The melody to the song is very calming and soft and flows perfectly after the dance number of the A-side. You really can't say anything bad about this single. It has been a while since we've seen Kuu collaborate with another group and it went over VERY well. Definately a single you should pick up! |

I'm shocked to read some of the reviews here. Honestly, I don't like Koda Kumi. I just don't like her voice. Some said her voice is beautiful or etc... I cannot argue with that since people have different taste and you cannot control what people like and vice versa. To me, I just don't like her voice. She's not the type of singer who I can listen over and over again. To me, her collaboration with THSK is an insult to their talent. I can only hear a bit of the guys voice in that song. I mean, these guys is very talented and in term of vocal power and etc, you cannot argue with that since they are an acapella boyband. They should sing more in Last Angel. BTW, whoever who said that THSK is not talented or anything, you should hear their songs more ften. They will not topped the chart or constantly in the top ten in the Oricon chart if they cannot sing. Come on, that's a stupid thing to say. They even sounds great during live. Plus, their popularity keep rising in Japan, they're only a Korean singer... To be great in other country especially Japan is not an easy thing to do. You need more than good looking and talent to do that. So, stop saying things that doesn't make sense... |

I'm so sorry if I offend anyone with this review, but I believe most Asian male singers have no talent really...=/ I've heard tons of them and haven't been proved wrong yet. v_v sorry. Kumi sounds amazing. Her voice is always very beautiful! The music is great and the rythmn catchy. Tohoshinki was dreadful though on the little parts they were featured in. Avex probably made her do this collaboration to promote them in Japan. Anyway, I hope Kumi releases a solo version of this song on her next album! I like this style from Kumi. I hope she keeps it up!!!! |

Koda's powerful voice and perfect abs steal the show, and make you wonder why she wasted her talents in this collaboration. See her extensive interview in "Making Of." With minimal makeup, you see the real Ku. |

I find this single of Koda Kumi to be extremely good and refreshing from the image she's created. The foremost reason I bought the CD/DVD version was so I can support TVXQ's popularity in Japan (fans please support by buying this!). I think that both equally TVXQ and Koda are very talented. Please ignore what The Ignored Truth said about TVXQ because that is not the truth. The guys from TVXQ have a mellow tone to their voice while Koda has a very high feminine one. I think this is a very good collaboration between the two different tones. |

After Black Cherry, Kumi had just been going down..but she now sees the light in "Last Angel". This single really amazed me as Kumi returned to the older erokawaii image I missed so much and reminded me of her earlier works like "Hot Stuff" and "Trust You". The song is highly addictive, but the real shining point is the PV, which is refreshing and fun while maintaining a cool, sexy yet non-skanky Urban feel - make sure to grab the CD+DVD version!!! The only downfall to this single, I believe, is the boyband she is collaborating with. Their vocals were pretty bad and did not blend well with Kumi at all. I also didn't like them in the PV as they looked VERY out of place and slightly uncomfortable. It is, however, overlookable and is still worth many listens & PV views. I believe this is Kumi's best single since the "Secret" era. Maybe Miss Koda isn't completely out of ideas. Be looking forward to her next album! |
