August 19, 2006 not really sure...I do know that I don't really care what the cover of a CD looks like or even where the idea for that cover came from... but I don't know yet what I totally think of "Electric Angel" musically.
I do enjoy most of the CD, but there are definitely more areas on this one (as opposed to her other CDs) that seem a little weak or not-so-well-thought-out to me. The odd thing is: I don't know why. I guess I can't put my finger on what isn't making this perfect for me.
I still adore Fiona's voice and generally speaking, I still adore her basic style of singing (regardless of genre...).
So, I don't know. I'm not really sure what to say about this release except that so far I think I like songs 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11 best. Songs 2 and 9 were the ones I did not like at all. The rythmns on those just seemed "off" to me somehow. Again, I'm not really sure why...
Maybe whatever it is that I can't quite put into words about this CD is the reason so many people here seem to be divided over various aspects of this release.
I would recommend this to people though, because it's not really bad. It's not totally original, but it's still a nice CD. I don't see this as Fiona's greatest achievement...but it's enjoyable (well, at least I think so...) for the most part.

February 15, 2006 DIVINE!This CD is a delight. I highly reccommend it. It's peaceful, but not boring. Relaxing, but not dull. Xiao Xiao has a personality that shines through her singing to enthrall and enrapture the listener. Her one English song is mesmerizing and flawless. I even went back and bought her 2003 CD because I was so impressed with this release. And, I wanted to see the MVs. I wish this CD came with MVs. It's touching and just great. Her talent is rare and I hope she gets more recognition soon. If you'd like to find a relatively undiscovered gem...buy this. It's excellent and you will not be dissapointed. Not one song is less than perfect.

February 15, 2006 WOW.It's hard to believe that Kary was ever in Cookies (although I love them too...especially Stephy). She has really grown up and into her own ability. This CD is a wonderful blend of rock-type pop songs and passionate ballads. I haven't watched the concert yet (and actually, I would have preferred MVs to a concert...). Kary looks lovely as ever and seems well on her way to establishing herself as a force to be recognized on the music scene. Impressive.

February 15, 2006 UNIQUE!While on first listen, this isn't my usual taste...I find that the CD is actually quite good. Her voice is extremely unique...so much so, that I cannot think of a comparison. She is on the contralto side of range (a bit lower than my preference...), but very vibrant and the passion overflows on each song. The songs are each unique, yet merge together to form a very cohesive release that is extremely different from anything else on the market...but nice. And the PAL DVD actually played on my NTSC only player. I have to admit, song #1 is a bit loud and over-done (it sounds a bit like random noise at first)...but the rest is excellent. If you want someone with a rock sound and lower-than-usual-voice...check this out. It's definitely different and yet intriquing.

February 15, 2006 AMAZING!OMG! This girl is marvelous. I hesitated to buy someone new, but I am glad I did. So pristine, yet vibrant. She lists in her credits that she is an Aries (as am I) and that her influences are Stefanie Sun and Michelle Branch...and that is easily seen in her music (including one cover of a Tanya Chua song). Her music is rich and powerful, while her voice is clear and crisp. I think she must be young, and if that this true...she will have a LONG career. Please, if you have not tried Jocie: buy this. It's truly one of the best CDs I have purchased in quite some time. I know I will play it often. Her songs are basic (mostly acoustic-sounding) pop with no rap/hip-hop/R&B or anything else to tangle up the pop. It's straight-forward and easily indentifiable. I love how elegant her music sounds even though it is basic and simple. Her vocals shine and she is an absolute delight. I can only hope her next release comes with some music videos! Stunning.
