LOVE LAVANDER
| THE story is romantic. Its about a first love who promise to come back after 10 years. Nobody in the real world expects it would happen. But needless to say in this drama it did. Im not so wild about this because its suspension beyond belief. The refreshing thing the director did was make the bitter ending less like a catastrophe to make the audience weep. It has avoided the super melodramatic ending. |

A watered-down shoujo series

First off, I don't usually watch Taiwanese TV series, so my review doesn't take into account the comparison with this series with other Taiwanese romantic dramas. Positive features? The leading actress was fairly pretty. For young female teenage audience, this may appear to be a sweet series...however, for the rest of us, it will leave a sour taste in our mouths. Everything about it - from the cast to the setting was so FAKE. I mean, the girl and her family lived in this (frightful) doll's house - any 5 year-old girl might have liked it, but I certainly detested it. This must have been an extremely low-budget series - it appeared that Leo (the singer guy), despite being a "huge" star should only have one annoying manager to accompany him. The storyline was appalling - it was terribly predictable. Just everything about it was detestable! Don't buy it! Save your money for charity! |

disappointing
| i heard really good reviews about this series so i bought it and i found it quite disappointing. I've seen Ambrose in "An Autumn's Diary" and whether you like the movie or not his acting is really good in it. You can tell in this show his acting is not that developed, nor any of the other actors'. The story is not that strong and i've seen other shows that proved to evoke more emotion. wasn't as much of a tearjerker as i thought because the story and acting weren't up to par. |
