精明果斷的黑幫大哥Moltes (Gerard Lanvin) 殺掉向警方告密的手下，因而被判監七年。他在獄中結識了戇直獄警Reggio (Benoit Poelvoorde)，每星期兩人都會合作買六合彩：Moltes出號碼，Reggio則負責買彩票。Moltes 循例買同一組號碼，每次亦循例不中。
就在出獄前一個月，不可思議的事陸續發生：六合彩竟然開出Moltes 的號碼，中了頭獎一千五百萬！Moltes興奮過後，卻發現保管彩票的Reggio竟神秘地告了病假。Moltes 不惜冒險逃獄，來到對方住所當面對質。原來Reggio老婆離家出走，跑到非洲越野賽車場當護士，剩下萬念俱灰的Reggio正準備自殺。Moltes 以為對方存心獨吞頭獎，逼他交出彩票。不料Reggio竟想起彩票還在老婆身上！Moltes 正想教訓他時，突然嗅到他自殺用的煤氣，兩人及時逃出屋外，幾乎葬身火海。
Moltes 無計可施之下，唯有強逼Reggio一同遠赴非洲，將彩票奪回；同時，壞蛋 Turk 為報Moltes當年殺弟之仇，連同高大保鑣鋼牙在後緊追，誓要置對方於死地；加上警方總動員緝捕逃犯歸案，還有非洲歹徒沿途趁火打劫，幾幫人馬在沙漠中展開一幕幕緊張刺激的追逐戰！究竟誰人可以眾望所歸、成功留低，成為最終的大贏家？

Reggio's wife (Rossy de Palma) goes to Africa, playing the big-hearted nurse on a rally? What did she do with the winning ticket?
Moltes escapes and forces Reggio to go with him. Destination: Bamako.
It's also the story of Turk (Jose Garcia), Moltes' sworn enemy; of his body guard, a giant with steel teeth; of a Ferris wheel off its axle; of rebel Tuaregs; of a car chase through the desert?
