這很可能是現今社會普遍的問題。罕見疾病的治療，在現在醫療發達的社會，尚處於弱勢族群。因龐大的經費問題，沒有藥廠願意為他們研究並開發新藥，導致於太多罕見疾病患者，患病後只能制、緩和病情，無法治療；尤其片中所提及的小腦萎縮，十多年來，病患幾乎是在等死，這些現實的種種，在影片中也將一併點出。
