跟許多藍領階級一樣，智輝（黃品源飾）每天在大太陽下揮汗工作，直到妻子秀美（侯怡君飾）檢查出小腦萎縮；由於秀美身體的改變，也讓智輝有重大的轉變；從原本不能接受，直到接納，並帶著秀美去環島；這一切重大的轉變，不只改變了智輝一家人，也改變了周遭人的看法，尤其醫生的態度。
這很可能是現今社會普遍的問題。罕見疾病的治療，在現在醫療發達的社會，尚處於弱勢族群。因龐大的經費問題，沒有藥廠願意為他們研究並開發新藥，導致於太多罕見疾病患者，患病後只能制、緩和病情，無法治療；尤其片中所提及的小腦萎縮，十多年來，病患幾乎是在等死，這些現實的種種，在影片中也將人併點出。
